What a wonderful and wild experience this is! You will have a chance to explore Zimbabwe with a variety of activities including game drives, guided walking, and canoeing safaris. You ease into the safari with a stay in a luxury tented camp at the heart of Hwange National Park – often referred as “the Land of the Giants” for its outstanding number of elephants.

With your bush confidence building, you journey to the Mana Pools National Park. Your time here is split between two different camps, providing a full spectrum of activities and game viewing in this water-rich area.

The trip returns to the starting point of Victoria Falls for a final two nights.

Itinerary

Days 1-3Arrive Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Travel to Hwange National Park | Meals: B L D

From the Victoria Falls Airport, road transfer (3hrs) to Hwange Main Camp, passing through traditional Ndebele villages on your way. You will be met by your guide game drive to your base camp set in the heart of Hwange National Park. Activities here include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives and spot lighting as well as game viewing from hides.

Walking safaris and game drives will allow you the opportunity to observe elephant, kudu and sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other species. Overnight at Somalisa Camp

Days 4-6Mana Pools National Park | Meals: B L D

Morning charter flight to Mana Pools. This flight takes just under 2 hours and provides a wonderful view of the changing landscapes of northern Zimbabwe.

On arrival, transfer to your tented camp along the Zambezi River. Explore the famous floodplain of the Zambezi valley on walks, looking for hippos, crocodiles, lions, wild dogs, leopard, hyena, elephant, buffalo, and waterbuck. Canoeing along the shoreline is another option, viewing wildlife from a totally different perspective. Overnight at Zambezi Expeditions

Days 7-8On Safari in Mana Pools National Park | Meals: B L D

Transition game drive to your next base camp. Here you will stay for the last two nights of your safari in Mana Pools, exploring the inland river beds, pans and open plains of the National Park by game drive and guided walks with your armed professional guide. Overnight at Kanga Camp

Day 9Return flight to Victoria Falls | Meals: B

After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft charter flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your accommodation across the Zambezi River, located in Livingstone, Zambia.

Afternoon and evening at your leisure (lunch and dinner on own account). There are numerous activities which can be booked in advance or arranged locally, such as a tour of the magnificent falls, bungee jumping, and some of the best white-water rafting in the world. Day 10Explore Livingstone and Victoria Falls | Meals: B L D

Enjoy your final full day in Africa by choosing from the following activities, included with your lodge stay: game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, rhino tracking, bush walks, sunrise & sunset boat cruise, Simonga Village visit, a visit to Zambian side of the Falls, a visit to the Zimbabwean side of the Falls in low water season (excludes visa fees), visit to the Livingstone Museum, canoe trip, or a visit to Maramba & Makuni Markets.
