Two women. One Hut. Nine Months.
In September Sunniva Sorby and Hilde Fålum Strøm will embark on a nine-month venture, Hearts in the Ice, to survey climate change escalation in the Arctic. They will stay in a remote trapper cabin called Bamsebu in Svalbard, Norway, located halfway between mainland Norway and the North Pole, where they will conduct observations and gather data for scientific organizations, such as NASA and the Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Their goal is to launch global dialogue around climate change in the Polar Regions.
One journey. Eleven days. Your opportunity.
Cruise with a purpose next May and celebrate Hearts in the Ice’s accomplishments on our Signature Journey to Svalbard! Meet Sunniva and Hilde after their return to civilization, hear about their experiences, observations, challenges, and successes. Then we’ll board the MS Spitsbergen for a comfortable voyage through the Svalbard archipelago.
