2022 Departures: Daily

Experience a combination of different ecosystems with the knowledge that your safari expenditure will have a direct and positive impact on the future of the rhino population in Botswana. A portion of each package booking is donated to the Botswana Rhino Relocation and Reintroduction Project. With fewer than 60 rhinos left in Botswana’s national parks, conservation efforts are critical, making the contribution from travelers booking the Rhino Package increasingly important. Packages consist of a minimum of two nights at Leroo La Tau, near the Makgdikgadi National Park and home to the second largest zebra migration in the world, plus your choice of two other lodges within Botswana, with a minimum of two nights at each. Additional nights and pre- or post-package options are available.

*Please note that guests are not guaranteed to see rhino while in Botswana. While the possibility of seeing rhino in Botswana becomes more likely every year, the odds are not likely for most safari-goers to see them while Botswana works to rebuild their rhino population. Your stay at Leroo La Tau, however, helps contribute directly to this conservation effort, hence the name of the package.

Days 3-4Your Choice: Moremi Game Reserve or Okavango Delta | Meals: B L D

Transfer by light aircraft to your next camp, where you will stay for two nights. Your Borton Overseas Specialist will help you decide which of these camps is right for you! During your time here you will be able to participate in any game activities that your chosen camp offers, usually including twice daily game drives and sometimes extras, such as mokoro canoe safaris and bush walks.

Lodge options:

Camp MoremiFor the classic African safari experience, look no further than Camp Moremi in Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Camp Moremi is situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa (pronounced Ka-ka-na-ka) Lagoon in an area well known for its spectacular game-viewing opportunities. There are 12 tents, with twin or double occupancy. Guests will enjoy the luxurious seclusion of East African-style safari tents, each one set on a raised teak deck, each featuring an en suite bathroom. Accommodating a maximum of twenty-four guests, Camp Moremi ensures exclusivity and privacy in a tranquil environment.

Camp XakanaxaThe prime location of Camp Xakanaxa on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, makes it one of the very few safari camps that offers guests an authentic, year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.

Camp Xakanaxa

Camp OkavangoBotswana’s magnificent Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta, is a maze of deep lagoons, large lakes and hidden, meandering channels. During the annual flood season the Delta covers a vast area of over 6,000 square miles before shrinking to less than 3,500 square miles in the dry season. Trapped in a basin of parched Kalahari Desert sand, the freshwater oasis attracts wildlife that depends on the permanent waters of this unique environment. Camp Okavango, an enchanting and authentically African safari camp is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island. This hidden treasure, in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assures its guests of an unparalleled year-round water wilderness experience.

Camp Okavango

Xugana Island LodgeXugana Lagoon is widely recognized as the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, which itself is Africa’s largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. The Okavango River rises in the highlands of Angola yet never reaches the sea; instead its immense waters empty over the sands of the Kalahari, where the great thirst of the desert is quenched in a wilderness of freshwater lagoons, channels and islands.
