Described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (“The Smoke That Thunders”), Victoria Falls is a stunning sight as 144 million gallons of water per minute plummet almost 360 feet down in to the gorge below. One mile across – it is the largest sheet of falling water in the world. In more modern terms, Victoria Falls is known as one of the natural wonders of the world and a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring power and beauty on the Zambezi River, bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe.
This adventure includes a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River and a walking tour of the Falls. Many more optional activities can be booked for your stay – such as bungee jumping, skydiving, and what is arguably the world’s best whitewater rafting.
