Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Reykjavík, Iceland

Transfer from the airport to your hotel. Spend the day exploring Reykjavík independently. As the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík has world class restaurants and shopping along with stunning architecture and art like Harpa Concert Hall and the Sun Voyager sculpture. Another option today is to join an excursion, perhaps travel along the Golden Circle route, visiting geysers and a waterfall, or enjoy the afternoon horseback riding over lava fields. Day 3to the Faroe Islands | Meals: B

Transfer independently to the city airport for your flight to the Faroe Islands. Upon arrival, you will be transferred via shuttle to your accommodation in the capital, Tórshavn. Take a walk about the old part of Tórshavn, Reyn, and Tinganes. Tórshavn is a unique town built in the Middle Ages, filled with winding lanes, narrow passages, and tiny black-tarred houses. Day 4Vestmanna Cliffs and Viking Settlements | Meals: B

Head out to see more of the town on your own this morning. There many shops near the marina where you can find Faroese handiwork, art, and music. Cafes and restaurants abound as well. This afternoon you will be picked up at your accommodation for a trip to the Vestmanna Cliffs. A boat will take you near the 1500 foot high cliffs after traveling through caves carved out by the waves. The caves and cliffs are home to many species of sea birds, such as puffins and guillemots. As you travel back to Tórshavn you will visit the Viking settlements in the village Kvívík. The evening is at your own leisure. Overnight in Tórshavn

Day 5Sandoy and Kirkjubøur | Meals: B LP

Today, travel to the Saga Island of Sandoy and the coastal village of Kirkjubøur. Again, pick up for the tour will be at your accommodation. Encounter the traditional Faroese way of life on Sandoy, which is one of the most untouched islands. Travel through small towns, enjoy the beautifully picturesque views, and visit a historic church. On the return to Tórshavn, you will make a stop in the Faroe Island’s historical and cultural center, Kirkjubøur. For 17 generations, one family has run the scenic old farm and ecclesiastic site. You can see the small medieval church of St. Olav and the unfinished Magnus Cathedral. The evening is free in Tórshavn to spend as you wish. Overnight in Tórshavn

Day 6Return to Iceland | Meals: B

You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight from the Faroes to Iceland. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Reykjavík

Day 7Depart Reykjavik, Iceland | Meals: B

You have the morning free for shopping, sightseeing or an optional visit to the Blue Lagoon before your transfer to the international airport for your afternoon return flight to the US – or extend your stand in Scandinavia!
