On this expedition-style cruise, you will glide through stunning landscapes, encounter the “locals” – penguins, whales, and other wildlife – and get hands-on by collecting data for citizen science programs. Informational lectures will take place on board in topics including geology, history, the environment, and other relevant areas.

**At this FREE event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Peter Neill, Director of the World Ocean Observatory and Borton Overseas’ featured lecturer on this Antarctic journey. Peter is a renowned expert in maritime history, art, exploration, and marine environmental issues.
Sunniva Sorby will also be joining us. She made history in 1993 as one of the four team members of the American Women’s Antarctic Expedition. Sunniva is passionate about Antarctica and has worked in the Polar Regions for the past 20 years. She and Peter will share their insights on several aspects of Antarctica, including how its environment impacts the earth.
