Itinerary

Sunday, August 23Oslo – Reykjavik, Iceland

Depart from Norway mid-day, arriving in Reykjavik at 3:30 p.m. Transfer by airport shuttle into Reykjavik and your centrally located accommodations. The evening is at leisure to explore Iceland’s capital. Overnight in Reykjavik

Monday, August 24Golden Circle Day Trip | Meals: B

This morning you will be picked up for your full-day tour on the Golden Circle route. Visit Nesjavellir, a high temperature geothermal area in the scenic landscape of Lake Thingvallavatn. From there travel to Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Althingi was founded in the year 930 AD. Continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall with time on your own for lunch. Visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes. Stops will also be made to see Skalholt church, the ancient seat of the Icelandic bishops, and at Hveragerdi, a small and charming horticultural village. Overnight in Reykjavik

Tuesday, August 25Blue Lagoon – Depart Reykjavik | Meals: B

Transfer by bus to the Blue Lagoon. The unique, geothermal spa’s natural ingredients include mineral salts, white silica mud, and green algae which have special healing properties to relax and rejuvenate! Modern locker rooms, a gift shop, plus a restaurant and café are on site. Enjoy the relaxing mineral water at the lagoon, and then transfer via scheduled coach to the nearby airport in the early afternoon for check-in to your return flight to the US.
