Along with primates like gibbons and langurs are Asian elephants, clouded leopards and sun bears.  DaLat, “Eternal Spring city” used to be a favorite hill resort due to its moderate climate, romantic ambiance, and beautiful landscape. Itinerary
This is a sample semi-independent itinerary. Travel will be independent with guided tours and activities along the way. Our Destination Specialists will work with you to create an itinerary to meet your preferences.

Day 1Arrive Cat Tien, Vietnam & Dao Tien Monkey Island | Meals: L D

Arrive in Cat Tien, transfer to your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, a short boat ride from your jungle lodge brings you to Dao Tien Endangered Primate Rescue Center. The island is dedicated to the rehabilitation of rescued primates and loris from the illegal wildlife trade. Founded by the Endangered Asian Species Trust (EAST) in collaboration with Monkey World in UK and with the support of Cat Tien National Park, the volunteers nurse the rescued animals with the aim of releasing the primates back into the wild when fully recovered. The funding from visitors goes directly into the rescue Center. A visit to Dao Tien will help you understand the plight of endangered primates and the effort of rehabilitate them back into the wild. Upon arrival back at your lodge, enjoy dinner. Overnight at lodge

Day 2Crocodile Lake Trek | Meals: B L D

Bau Sao (Crocodile Lake) in Cat Tien National Park covers a large lagoon system that expands in the rainy season. You reach it by a pick-up truck ride followed by an easy 3-mile hike, a wonderful opportunity to see the amazing flora and fauna of Vietnam’s tropical jungle. As the trail meanders through primary forest you will see giant Tung trees with root systems taller than a person! The tropical forest is also full of colorful birds, lianas, ferns and flowers, and groups of langur monkeys moving from tree to tree. The lake is home to a group of fresh-water Siamese crocodiles, around 200 with new hatchlings. A picnic lunch is followed by an excursion to Cat Tien Bear and Wildlife Rescue Station. The station hosts and protects rescued bears and other endangered animals from the wildlife trade and illegal bear bile factories. The traumatized animals are given a chance to recover to live out their lives in the safety of the center. In the rescue center you can also find crocodiles, gibbons, langur monkeys, peafowl, and a few other species receiving care. Return to your lodge for dinner. Overnight at lodge

Day 3On the Road to Dalat | Meals: B L

You have time at leisure in the morning to explore on your own; optional activities can be arranged with the lodge. Check out and transfer to Dalat with a stop at a waterfall and tea plantation. Overnight in Dalat

Day 4Exploring Dalat & Surroundings | Meals: B L D

After breakfast, embark on a cycling adventure downhill to the Dalat area, through beautiful pine forested hills and valleys dotted with picturesque small farms. Visit the city landmarks and, in the afternoon, get on board a steam locomotive train or stroll through the colorful local market. Enjoy dinner in Dalat. Overnight in Dalat

Day 5Biking Down to the Coast | Meals: B L

Leave the “Eternal Spring” city of Dalat by biking to the beaches Phan Thiet, approximately a 56-mile ride. The road winds through pine forested valleys, minority villages, and coffee plantations, then continues along a flat road lined with dragon fruit farms as you approach Phan Thiet. Upon arrival, choose to transfer to Nha Trang by car or continue your bike journey. Arrive at your resort for your beach stay. Overnight in Nha Trang
