Itinerary
This is a sample semi-independent itinerary. Travel will be independent with guided tours and activities along the way. Our Destination Specialists will work with you to create an itinerary to meet your preferences.

Day 1Arrive Siem Reap

Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 2Experience Angkor Wat | Meals: B L

You will be taken the short distance from Siem Reap to Angkor this morning for a full exploration of Angkor Thom and of course, the crown jewel in Angkor, Angkor Wat. From the 9th to 13th century, Angkor was the heart of a rich and sophisticated civilization. At Angkor you will see massive stone monuments, wide majestic causeways, imposing gateways and towers, all in a wonderful jungle setting. Visit the famous Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, Terrace of the Elephants, and Terrace of the Leper King. Angkor Wat is the most recent addition to Angkor, built in the 12th century. It has many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and carved low-reliefs that tell the day-to-day life of locals at the time of Angkor’s construction. End the day with a sunset view of Angkor temples. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 3Banteay Srei, "The Citadel of Women | Meals: B L

This morning head to the outlying Banteay Srei Temple, “The Citadel of Women,” with its rose colored, sandstone walls that many consider to be the best carvings of any temple at Angkor. The quality of the carving and the state of preservation make Banteay Srei extraordinary. On our return visit Sras Srang, the royal pool is situated opposite the East gate of Banteay Kdei, known as the King’s bathing pond. From Banteay Kdei, continue to Takeo and jungle-clad Ta Prohm. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 4Visit the Floating Village on Tonle Sap | Meals: B

This morning transfer to Tonle Sap Lake, the largest permanent freshwater lake in South East Asia, and the site of the famous Vietnamese Floating Village. Thousands of ethnically Vietnamese Cambodians were forced out of the country during the 70s and on their return, were unable to prove their citizenship to purchase land. They were forced to claim the only space available, the waters of Tonle Sap Lake. Take a cruise through the watery “streets” of the village, passing the stores, schools, restaurants, and markets that make up the community. In the afternoon you will transfer to the airport – or extend your stay in Southeast Asia!
