There are plenty of reasons to visit Thailand, from beautiful temples to glorious golden beaches… and of course, the food. The variety and the outstanding tastes make Thai cuisine some of the best in the world. In this tour you will explore Bangkok, its temples, the busy streets and waterway and end in Chinatown for Yum Cha which involves drinking Chinese tea and eating dim sum. Spend several days in northern Thailand in Chiang Mai. Visit Elephant Nature Park, sample local cuisine, and learn how to cook some of these savory dishes. In Phuket, a nice few days on Thailand’s legendary beaches with golden, warm water, choosing from the many available activities such as canoeing, snorkeling and diving.

Day 1Arrive Bangkok, Thailand

Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Bangkok

Day 2Experience Bangkok as the Locals | Meals: B

With your guide, you will explore Bangkok the way the locals do, from old Rattanakosin Island to the river walking tour, from bustling Silom Road to Chinatown and the Indian Market. You’ll experience various modes of public transportation including tuk-tuks (motorized three-wheeled taxis), public buses, BTS Skytrain, public long-tailed boat, etc. Your guide will make sure the true Bangkok is discovered. Visit the fascinating Reclining Buddha and the splendid Grand Palace complex as well as the Royal Temple, which houses Thailand’s most sacred object, the Emerald Buddha. Overnight in Bangkok

Day 3Chao Phraya River Cruise | Meals: B

Cruise along the mighty Chao Phraya River, the lifeblood of Bangkok city. The canals of Thonburi, located on the east side of the river, will reveal scenes that are at odds with the bustling modern inner city Bangkok today. Visit the Temple of Dawn as well as the Royal Barge Museum. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Bangkok

Day 4Travel to Chiang Mai | Meals: B L

Bangkok’s Chinatown is a food haven for foodies who flock here to explore the vibrant food culture and cuisine. Chinatown is packed with market stalls, street-side restaurants and a dense concentration of street vendors. After a morning of strolling around this fascinating neighborhood it’s now time to sample a traditional YUM CHA early light lunch which involves drinking Chinese tea and eating dim sum dishes. Taste a variety of small dishes, steamed buns, assorted dumplings, and rice noodle rolls. The afternoon is free to continue exploring and tasting on your own. Fly to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 5Excursion to Elephant Nature Park | Meals: B L

A full day visit to Elephant Nature Park is a wonderful introduction to the Asian elephant. You will learn about the plight of these elephants and the personal stories of the resident elephants. All the while, you will be able to observe them as they explore the park with their family groups. Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 6Doi Suthep Monastery & Culinary Delights | Meals: B D

Morning visit to Doi Suthep Monastery, situated on a mountaintop with splendid views of the surrounding countryside. The afternoon is at your leisure. This evening, embark on a culinary delights tour to sample some of the tastiest treats this city has to offer. The first stop is at the legendary Warorot market. Here you will have the opportunity to explore the market and sample some northern Thai snacks such as Sai Oua, Chiang Mai spicy sausage. Sample Northern Thailand’s signature dish, Kao Soi, which is the ultimate Chiang Mai dish and simply delicious. Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 7Cooking Class & Travel to Phuket | Meals: B

Today, join a Thai cooking class. The school, located outside of the city, offers an ideal home-style learning environment in a charming open-air, Thai-style kitchen, surrounded by aromatic herb gardens and overlooking rice paddies. This is an excellent setting in which to learn how to cook Thai dishes, the use of herbs in Thai cooking and to prepare several dishes which you may enjoy as your own lunch. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Phuket. Meet upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Phuket

Day 8Sea Canoeing | Meals: B L

Explore Phang Nga by sea canoe. Have a fun and exciting day visiting the tidal caves, known as Hongs, in Phang Nga Bay. You may see a variety of wildlife, such as sea eagles, bramany kites, kingfishers, fruit bats, water monitors and monkeys. Overnight in Phuket

Day 9-10Free in Phuket | Meals: B L

The days are free to explore on your own or Spend your days relaxing on the beach, dive or snorkel. You may join a cooking class in Phuket. Overnight in Phuket

Day 11Phuket | Meals: B
