Roam the fjords and landscapes of Norway on this escorted tour. Beginning and ending in the capital Oslo, this itinerary includes time in the south, including Kristiansand and Stavanger, beautiful Bergen on the west coast, plus two fjord cruises. Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Oslo, Norway

Arrive in Oslo and transfer via airport train Flytoget into city center. Meet your tour escort this afternoon for a short welcome and trip introduction. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Oslo, a nature-centric city, with greenery and wooded areas never far away. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the pedestrian shopping street Karl Johan’s Gate or enjoy a drink in the trendy Aker Brygge area. Overnight: Oslo hotel

Day 3Oslo | Meals: B

After breakfast, a local guide will take you on a three-hour panoramic tour of Norway’s capital. See the Royal Palace, the National Theatre, the Parliament, the Opera House by the waterfront, and the medieval Akershus fortress. There will be time for a pleasant stroll through Frogner Park (Vigeland Park) known for its sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. Remainder of day on own in Oslo. Overnight: Oslo hotel

Day 4Oslo - Kristiansand | Meals: B

Breakfast at hotel, then depart Oslo, driving along Norway’s scenic southern coast. We’ll stop at Vrangfoss Lock, the most impressive lock on the historic Telemark Canal. Continue to Skien, the official starting point of the canal and the birthplace of playwright Henrik Ibsen. We’ll check out Lillesand, a charming seaside town known for its white wooden houses and peaceful harbor. After arriving in Kristiansand, enjoy a panoramic city tour. Highlights include 17th century Christiansholm Fortress, the striking Kunstsilo art building, the lively fish market, and a walk through Kristiansand’s Old Town, Europe’s largest preserved wooden house district. Day 5Kristiansand - Stavanger | Meals: B

After breakfast, we begin the journey to Stavanger, stopping along the way at the charming fishing village of Flekkefjord, known for its white wooden houses, narrow streets, and peaceful waterfront. After arrival into Stavanger, embark on a 3.5-hour fjord sightseeing tour on the Lysefjord, passing the famous Pulpit Rock. Evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Stavanger

Day 6Stavanger - Bergen | Meals: B

This morning, enjoy a two-hour panoramic tour of Old Stavanger. During the tour, admire the monument Sverd i Fjell (Sword in Rock), which marks the Viking battle that united Norway into one kingdom. When the tour concludes, journey northward to Bergen, the Gateway to the Fjords. Evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Bergen

Day 7Bergen | Meals: B D

This morning, embark on a two-hour panoramic tour of Bergen. Highlights include King Haakon’s Hall, Rosenkrantz Tower, famous Bryggen – a row of Hanseatic timbered, colorful buildings along the harbor, the bustling Fish and Flower
market, the city park, and Grieg Hall. Afterwards, enjoy a ride on the funicular up to Mt. Fløien for amazing views over the city & harbor. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore this lovely town. Overnight in Bergen

Day 8Bergen - Gudvangen - Flåm - Geilo | Meals: B D

We head inland today for two unforgettable experiences in Norway: cruising along branches of the Sognefjord, and the Flåm Railway. Drive to the small town of Gudvangen and board a boat for a two-hour cruise through the magnificent Nærøy and Aurland fjords. From Flåm, take the scenic Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) up to Myrdal, with breathtaking views at every curve. Upon arrival in Myrdal, continue by train to the ski resort town of Geilo. Day 9Geilo area - Oslo | Meals: B

This morning, we’ll view Torpo Stavekirke, one of the oldest stave churches and the only one in Hallingdal preserved on its original site. Afterwards, a stop at Hadeland Glassverk, Norway’s oldest glassworks, where tradition and design blend in a lovely setting. Then we continue to Oslo – enjoy some free time shopping or sightseeing. Day 10Oslo departure | Meals: B

Transfer via Flytoget airport train to Oslo Gardermoen airport for check-in for return flight to the US – or, extend your stay in Scandinavia.

Arrive Stockholm, Sweden

Transfer from Stockholm Arlanda airport via express train into city center. In the late afternoon, meet your tour escort in the hotel lobby for a short welcome and introduction to the upcoming tour. Evening is at your leisure. Overnight: Stockholm hotel

Stockholm | Meals: B

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure on a four-hour panoramic tour of Stockholm. The beautiful capital is built on 14 islands and often called “The Venice of the North”. Explore the charming cobblestoned streets of the Old Town and admire the impressive City Hall, known for hosting the annual Nobel Prize banquet. The tour includes a visit to the famous Vasa Museum, home to the only preserved 17th-century ship in the world. Remainder of day is at leisure. Overnight: Stockholm hotel

Stockholm - Norrköping - Oskarshamn | Meals: B D

After breakfast at hotel, depart Stockholm for Norrköping by the river Motala. Stop for a walk along the “Industrial
Landscape” to admire bridges and pathways offering views of the river and its dams and waterfalls. After seeing the impressive cactus at Carl Johan Park, depart for Oskarshamn. Here, you can sit on Europe’s longest wooden bench Långa Soffan, 72-meters. Dinner and Overnight: Oskarshamn hotel

Oskarshamn - Malmö - Copenhagen | Meals: B

Morning departure for Malmö, Sweden’s third-largest city. Explore the charming cobblestoned old town squares of Lilla Torg and Stora Torg. Cross the impressive Øresunds bridge into Denmark and onward to Copenhagen. In the evening on own, you may wish to stroll along the main pedestrian street Strøget to the picturesque old harbor Nyhavn. Overnight: Copenhagen hotel

Copenhagen | Meals: B

This morning, enjoy a three-hour panoramic tour of Copenhagen. See iconic sights such as the Little Mermaid statue, Gefion Fountain, the royal residence Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn (“new harbor”) with its charming outdoor restaurants and cozy cafés, Christiansborg Castle – home to the Danish Parliament, the Royal Opera House, and more. The tour ends with a visit to the magical Tivoli Gardens amusement park in the heart of the capital. Remainder of day at leisure to explore Wonderful Copenhagen. Overnight: Copenhagen hotel

Copenhagen - at sea | Meals: B D

After breakfast, experience Copenhagen from the water with a one-hour Classic Canal Tour around the harbor and canals. In the early afternoon, transfer to the ferry terminal and board the overnight ship to Oslo. Enjoy an extensive dinner buffet, before checking out the amenities onboard, including duty-free shopping, bars and entertainment, sauna and wellness area. Overnight: on board seaview cabin
