Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Oslo, Norway

Arrive in Oslo and transfer to the city center. Explore Oslo on your own today. Oslo is a nature centric city, with greenery and wooded areas never far away. Besides enjoying these spaces, it is recommended to take the ferry down to the island Bygdøy to see the many museums there, including the Viking Ship Museum. Meet your Tour host for a short briefing this evening. Overnight in Oslo

Day 3A Visit to Lillehammer | Meals: B D

Departing Oslo, you will stop in Lillehammer to see the site of the main activities in the 1994 Olympics. From there you have a bit of a drive north, traveling through the mountains and forests of central Norway. A visit in Lom to see the 12th century stavkirke there will be made along the way. Descend along the curving mountain road into Geiranger this evening. At your hotel you will enjoy a delicious dinner. Overnight in Geiranger

Day 4King of the Fjords | Meals: B D

Wave goodbye to the town of Geiranger this morning as you sail along the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Along the way you will see the impressive Seven Sisters waterfall that is well known. You will disembark in Hellesylt and continue south in your coach. You’ll take a break to delight in delicious Norwegian waffles and to enjoy the sensational view as you travel. Your next stop is Balestrand along the shores of the “King of the Fjords” Sognefjord. Arrive this afternoon, then partake in a tasting of the locally made cider. Relish dinner at your hotel looking out on what can be called the most beautiful spot on earth. Overnight in Balestrand

Day 5Norway’s Famous Fjord Journey | Meals: B

One of the most famous routes in Norway is the route between Gudvangen and Myrdal where you travel via boat and then train to see some of the most stunning views the country offers. To begin, your escort will take you via local ferries to Gudvangen where you will board a two-hour cruise along the famous Nærøyfjord. The cruise ends in Flåm where you will have some time to relax before boarding the historic train for the spectacular Flåmsbana journey to Myrdal. This hour-long journey takes you through mountains and passed fjords, slowing down and even stopping at the most scenic spots. In Myrdal you will board another train bound for Voss where you will meet up with your bus again for the rest of the journey to Bergen. Overnight in Bergen

Day 6Tour of Bergen | Meals: B

Meet your local guide this morning and enjoy a walk through Bergen’s historic city center while hearing about and seeing the impact of the local fishing industry, Bergen’s involvement in WWII, and the trade group the Hanseatic League. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the city independently with the option to join a scenic bus tour along the coast. Overnight in Bergen

Day 7Bergen and Travel to Hardangerfjord | Meals: B D

Start the day by taking the funicular up Mount Fløyen for amazing views. Your journey then continues east, heading into the Hardangerfjord area, with a stop at the Vøringsfoss waterfall. Arrive in the ski resort town of Geilo this evening. Overnight in Geilo

Day 8Oslo | Meals: B

Today you will return to Norway’s capital city of Oslo. Arriving in the early afternoon, you will first have a city tour, including a visit to Vigeland Sculpture Garden, the Royal Palace, the glacial Opera House, Viking Ship Museum and more. The evening is at leisure to enjoy a stroll along the pedestrian shopping street Karl Johan’s Gate or enjoy a drink in the trendy Aker Brygge area. Overnight in Oslo

Day 9Cruise to Copenhagen | Meals: B D

Your morning is free to continue exploring Oslo, visiting museums or shopping for souvenirs. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to the pier for embarkation of the DFDS Seaways overnight cruise to Copenhagen. Enjoy the sunset view heading out through the Oslo Fjord from the deck or while enjoying the delicious buffet on board. Overnight on board

Day 10Explore Copenhagen | Meals: B

Disembark in Copenhagen this morning after breakfast on board. Spend the day independently exploring the fairytale city of Copenhagen. See the picturesque Nyhavn harbor, the Little Mermaid statue, and the palace of Amalienborg. Continue discovering the magical aspects of the city, perhaps with a visit to the enchanting Tivoli Gardens. Overnight in Copenhagen

Day 11Copenhagen to the Faroe Islands | Meals: B

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. After being transferred to your accommodation, you have the rest of the day to explore on your own. Wander through the alleys of the old town, admiring the red houses and their turf roofs, or spend some time in the Listasavn Føroya Art Museum, displaying Faroese art to visitors for decades. A wonderful local meal of lamb or fish is also easy to find for dinner tonight. Overnight in Tórshavn

Day 12Discover the Faroes | Meals: B L

A guided driving tour will expose you to the natural beauty of the Faroe Islands. Travel across several of the islands and through a fascinating underwater tunnel to the village of Klaksvík. Here, in the Faroe’s second largest town, you will visit Christianskirkjan, a modern building that echoes the country’s traditional past. On your way back to Tórshavn, you will stop at a Viking settlement for a little history of the Nordic roots that run through the Faroe Islands. Overnight in Tórshavn

Day 13Panoramic Views | Meals: B

This you’ll explore more of the lovely Faroe Islands with a guide, witnessing indescribable panoramas with plenty of photo stops. Today’s itinerary includes the islands of Vágar and Vágoy, a drive up to the mountain pass Norðadalsskarð, small villages, and waterfalls. Overnight in Tórshavn

Day 14Depart Tórshavn, Faroe Islands | Meals: B

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Copenhagen and connection to your return flight home – or extend your stay with an independent package in Scandinavia!
