Itinerary
This is a sample semi-independent itinerary. Travel will be independent with guided tours and activities along the way. Our Destination Specialists will work with you to create an itinerary to meet your preferences.

Day 1Arrive Bangkok, Thailand

Upon arrival you are met and privately transferred to your 5-star hotel, located on the banks of the scenic Chao Phraya River. Your suite is located in the Krungthep Wing, with its own entrance and lobby. The rooms feature Thai-inspired furnishings, high ceilings, unlimited WiFi, and a delicious buffet breakfast at the Riverside Lounge. In the evenings, after a long day of touring the city, shopping in one of the many malls, relaxing at the hotel pool, or walking down the busy streets of Bangkok, enjoy complimentary evening cocktails and canapes. Overnight at Shangri La Hotel

Day 2Grand Palace & Wat Po | Meals: B

Today, enjoy a half-day private tour of the Grand Palace and Wat Po. The Grand Palace is the “must see” attraction in Bangkok. It is an architectural wonder of golden stupas, walls, and pillars encrusted in shining and colorful mosaics. Previously the residence of past Kings of Thailand, you will see palaces once used for different occasions; the Reception Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Throne Hall, the Royal Guest House, and Wat Phra Kaew. The architecture is predominantly Thai, though there are some European influences. The palace served as the official residence of kings of Thailand from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The most famous building within the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew and is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. Continue to Wat Po, with its massive reclining Buddha and surrounding red and gold temple structures, before drop off back at your hotel. Overnight at Shangri La Hotel

Day 3Chao Phraya River Cruise | Meals: B

The morning is at your leisure to enjoy Bangkok – shop in one of the many malls, check out China Town, or relax and enjoy your hotel amenities. This afternoon, cruise along the mighty Chao Phraya River, the lifeblood of Bangkok city. The canals of Thonburi, located on the east side of the river, will reveal scenes that are at odds with the bustling modern inner city Bangkok today. Visit the Temple of Dawn as well as the Royal Barge Museum. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight at Shangri La Hotel

Day 4Travel to Golden Triangle | Meals: B

This morning, check out of your hotel before a private transfer takes you back to the Bangkok airport for your flight to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to your next luxury accommodation: the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort. Perched on a jungle hilltop, your deluxe suite will have a private balcony overlooking all three of the countries in the Golden Triangle. Teak floors, hill tribe fabrics, and traditional artwork create a sense of culture, while high-tech comforts ensure your jungle adventure is luxurious. Laze on your cantilevered Thai daybed, gazing at grazing elephants below. Soak in a deep terrazzo tub with the partition slid open to take in the view. Breathtaking views await in the restaurant, and you can even experience the “Elephant Camp” – home to the elephants in the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, all of which were rescued from illegal logging camps, the streets, or elephant shows. Overnight at Anantara Golden Triangle Resort

Day 5Golden Triangle Anantara Resort | Meals: B

Today is at your leisure to enjoy the amenities offered at Anantara, or to explore Chiang Rai on your own. The resort has an infinity pool, complete with a stunning view over the jungles that surround you. There is also a fitness centre; yoga, rice and tree planting, and even Muay Thai boxing classes available on the property. For an experience off site, take a Longtail Boat trip or visit the Choui Fong Tea plantation. Overnight at Anantara Golden Triangle Resort

Day 6Chiang Mai, Oh My | Meals: B

After a fond farewell, a private transfer will take you approximately 4 hours to the historic town of Chiang Mai. Your luxury resort here is an architecturally-stunning teak house, complete with two restaurants, a bar, and a wine cellar. Your suite is a haven of tranquility – large terraces with expansive daybeds and rocking chairs, high ceilings with king size beds, and a dressing room with a walk-in closet and views to the tropical gardens. Overnight at 137 Pillars

Day 7Doi Suthep | Meals: B

The city of Chiang Mai has many beautiful and historic Buddhist temples and this half-day, private tour takes in one of the best: 600 year-old Wat Pra That Doi Suthep. This is the landmark of the city located near the summit of Doi Suthep. After a drive up the mountain’s winding road, the final climb to the site is via a magnificent Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps. Inside is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier, gold umbrella which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are panoramic views out over the city of Chiang Mai. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the historic city of Chiang Mai. Perhaps stroll down the main street at night to catch the food market, or relax by the pool on one of the many sun-loungers at your hotel. Complimentary homemade sorbet, cold water, and towels are available to help you take the edge off northern Thailand’s steamy hot season. Refreshments are available poolside, along with any menu items from the hotel restaurants. Overnight at 137 Pillar

Day 8To Krabi | Meals: B

A private transfer will take you to the Chiang Mai airport, where you will fly to the island of Krabi (with a necessary stopover in Bangkok). Known as one of the most relaxing places in the world, and the location for many iconic movie scenes that feature endless white sand beaches, Krabi has everything from jungles to temples, canoe and longboat trips to natural hot springs. The next three full days are at your leisure to enjoy the island, staying at the incredible Rayavadee.

Your Terrace Pavillion features an open and airy ground floor living plan, with tropical decor and glass doors that open onto a breezy outdoor terrace with lounge area and lots of space for relaxation surrounded by lush palms and garden greenery. Rayavadee is a few minutes walk from the famous Railay Beach, and offers four dining venues on the hotel property, along with its spa offerings, activities center, and boutique shopping experience. There is an option to upgrade to a pool suite, adding an extra element of luxury by providing your own private pool – right outside your bedroom door! Overnight at Rayavadee

Day 9-10Free in Krabi | Meals: B

These days are meant for nothing more than blissful relaxation in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Rayavadee’s excursions provide memorable, personalized experiences that put you in touch with the best the area has to offer. Whether you’re looking to escape to a deserted beach at sunset or spend the day on one of their luxurious speedboats visiting Phi Phi Island or Phang Nga Bay, Rayavadee’s sea excursions promise exhilarating adventure and romance. You can kayak through a pristine mangrove forest, scale a rock wall with private rock climbing instruction, hike a nature trail to a waterfall, learn to scuba dive from your own private dive boat, or discover the art of Thai cooking. Overnight at Rayavadee
