This package is based in the country’s Guanacaste Province, which borders the Pacific Ocean.  Split between two resorts in different locations, this beach-based itinerary includes a mix of nature, adventure, culture, and, of course, plenty of time to chill out and enjoy the beach!

Day 1Arrive Liberia, Costa Rica

On arrival at Liberia’s international airport, you will be met by a local representative for Borton Overseas and transferred to your hotel. Welcome to Costa Rica!

Day 4Tempisque River Tour| Meals: B L

Today you will be transferred north to Playa Panama.  On the way, you’ll take a detour to enjoy a boat tour on the Tempisque River, alongside Palo Verde National Park.  

Palo Verde National Park is one of the most biodiverse areas in Costa Rica. It encompasses a rich mosaic of over 15 different natural habitats, including deciduous lowland forest,  evergreen forest,  flooded forest, deciduous limestone hill forest, grasslands and mangroves. The wetlands, which represent some 50% of the park’s area, are a sanctuary for thousands of aquatic birds.

Rio Tempisque forms the natural border of the park. On the boat tour, a variety of aquatic and riverine fauna can be observed here, including birds, crocodiles, iguanas, and turtles. 

This tour includes a delicious local lunch and the services of an English-speaking local guide.

Overnight at El Mangroove
El Mangroove is located in the Gulf of Papagayo on the northern Pacific coastline of Guanacaste and is a short distance from the Liberia International Airport. With a Bohemian – Chic concept, accommodation is available in a variety of guest rooms and suites which feature modern amenities including Wi-Fi, TV, and air conditioning. The resort features two restaurants with a la carte menus and premium liquors. Guests may keep fit at the fully equipped gym or enjoy a massage at the luxurious spa which offers a variety of treatments. Guests may also go for a swim in the outdoor swimming pool or at the beach just a few steps away.

Day 5Coastal Cruise| Meals: B

See the beautiful Gold Coast of Guanacaste from on board the Patrón Ocean Experience (or similar). The Patron is a newly renovated, 31-foot Grady White boat with ample cushion seating and an onboard bathroom for ultimate comfort.  Local drinks and fruit are included, as well as snorkeling equipment, SUP board, and great music!

Day 6Gulf of Papagayo | Meals: B

Today is free for you to relax at the hotel and enjoy the beach.  The hotel offers some activities, like kayak rental, bikes, yoga classes, and can assist you with arranging watersport adventures. The Bearth Renaissance Spa offers treatments and steam rooms for those in need of more intense relaxation.

Breakfast and hotel check out.

A private transfer takes you to the Daniel Oduber International Airport for your return flight to the US or extend your stay in Costa Rica.
