Welcome to Norway! On arrival, we will transfer into the capital city of Oslo and have time to settle into our hotel rooms before gathering for a welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, our group will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Oslo to include a panoramic drive through the city and stops at the Norwegian Folk Museum and a walk through Vigeland Sculpture Park. Your afternoon and evening are free for sightseeing and lunch and dinner independently.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we transfer back to Oslo airport for our flight north to the Lofoten Islands. On arrival, we will be transferred into the small city of Svolvær. We will have time again to settle into our rooms and get acquainted with the city before gathering for dinner at the beautiful hotel restaurant. After dinner, we chase the midnight sun on the night of the Summer Solstice! On the north side of Lofoten, with a clear view towards the horizon, we can relax and enjoy the scenic view. We can follow the sun’s journey towards the horizon and watch it turn back towards the sky before ever reaching the ocean. Take in the unique light and tranquility of a sunset without the sun setting.

Breakfast at your hotel. Today, we will travel to the legendary Trollfjorden by RIB-boat. This exhilarating journey combines adventure with the fjord’s rich history. Along the way, you will experience the majestic sea eagles up close as the boat makes several stops at large colonies of these magnificent birds. Once in Trollfjorden, we experience Norway’s dramatic natural beauty at its best. Trollfjorden, the highlight of our trip, is a natural wonder with dramatic landscapes and tranquil waters. After soaking in the beauty and stories of Trollfjorden, the RIB boat will escort us back to Svolvær. Tonight, we will dine at the historic Borsen Spiseri restaurant.

Breakfast at the hotel this morning. Your day is free to sightsee independently or to participate in an optional excursion:
• Sea Kayaking – Kayak in crystal clear waters and learn about the region’s history and culture. No experience required – this tour is perfect for beginners and uses double kayaks. Duration: 2 hours. (Evening Kayaking option also available, 7-9pm.) Price: from $170 per person
• Fishing Trip – Experience a traditional fishing trip on the MS Symrais, a culturally protected fishing boat built for the Lofoten fisheries. The professional crew provides expert guidance and all the gear you need. The catch varies by season, but the most commonly caught fish in the summer are coastal cod, haddock, mackerel, and coalfish. Duration: 3 hours. Price: from $170 per person
• Lofoten Wildlife Safari – Join a slow, immersive journey into Arctic nature, with a focus on finding moose, while also keeping a lookout for eagles, foxes, otters, seals, owls, and a wide variety of birdlife. In the summer months, there’s even a chance of spotting orcas or other whales from land if they’re in the area. Duration: 5 hours. Price: from $221 per person
• Floating Sauna – Lofoten Sauna offers outstanding views of Svolværgeita and the harbor. The sauna is open daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm, and offers drop-in hours (social) or private arrangements. The sauna building features separate male and female changing rooms, an outdoor shower with warm and cold water, and a toilet on the nearby quay. Duration: 1 hour (drop-in) or 3 hours (private). Price: from $25 per person (public) or $411 per group (private)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we return to Svolvær airport by coach for our flight down to Bergen. On arrival, we will be transferred by coach to our city center hotel. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore historic Bergen. Tickets for the Fløibanen Funicular are included for you to enjoy the ride to the top of Mt. Fløyen at your leisure, where you can take in take in stunning views over Bergen, its harbor, and the surrounding mountains.
Overnight: Home Hotel Bryggen, Bergen

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, our local guide will meet our group at the hotel for a walking tour of Bergen’s famous Hanseatic Wharf, St. Mary’s Church, and more. Learn about Bergen’s important role in trade history and about current life in Norway’s second largest city. Afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, we gather as a group for our farewell dinner at a local and well-loved restaurant.

Breakfast at the hotel. Following check-out, we will transfer to Bergen airport for flight check-in. We depart on our late afternoon flight with an evening arrival back in Minneapolis/St. Paul – or extend your stay in Scandinavia!
