This eight day adventure allows you to explore the best of Buenos Aires and Igazu Falls in one trip! Buenos Aires has emerged as one of the trendiest and most exciting cities in the world to visit. Undoubtedly the Latin American capital of fashion, design and architecture, BA serves up a rich and intoxicating mix of culture, comfort and fun. In the far northeast corner of Argentina on the Brazilian border is the majestic, natural spectacle of Iguazu Falls, a series of waterfalls amounting to one of the biggest in the world. Visitors can get up close and personal with the falls and enjoy stunning views on both sides of the border.

Itinerary
This is a sample semi-independent itinerary. Travel will be independent with guided tours and activities along the way. Our Desination Specialists will work with you to create an itinerary to meet your preferences.

Day 1Arrive Buenos Aires, Argentina

You will be met at the airport and taken to the hotel with a private English speaking guide. This afternoon is left free to relax and explore the area. If you arrive on an early flight and would like to have guaranteed early check in, we can arrange that for an extra cost. Overnight in Buenos Aires

Day 2Discover Buenos Aires City Tour & Evening Tango Show | Meals: B D

Your expert, friendly guide will take you on and off the beaten track as you explore this vibrant and fascinating city. Of course you will have a car at your disposal, but it is recommended to get out and walk around some of the neighborhoods. The tour will take in the main highlights, but the tour can be tailored for you. This five hour tour gives you a bit more time to really get under the skin of Buenos Aires. This evening visit La Ventana Tango Hall for a wonderful night of tango – a two orchestra tango concert with a dash of folklore thrown in (the dancing gaucho is a highlight). The traditional tango dancing is mixed with folkloric dance and song, keeping the performances varied. The evening includes an optional tango lesson and/or wine tasting (must be booked in advance). Overnight in Buenos Aires

Day 3Explore Buenos Aires | Meals: B

A free day in the city. If you would like to organize something extra, arrangements can be made (at a reasonable extra cost) for bike tours, art tours, a trip to Colonia in Uruguay, a visit to the Tigre Delta – the options are almost endless! Overnight in Buenos Aires

Day 4Fly to Puerto Iguazu | Meals: B

Your driver will take you to the domestic airport in plenty of time for the flight to Puerto Iguazu. On arrival, a private driver and guide will be waiting to take you to the hotel. This evening is left free. Overnight in Puerto Iguazu

Day 5The Argentine Side of Iguazu Falls | Meals: B

Start your tour early in order to beat the crowds and board the first train to the Devil’s Throat. There are walkways over the islands which take you to a balcony over the falls and the most spectacular view of the entire Devil’s Gorge. You will then have plenty of time to walk the half mile of paths on the upper circuit. These new suspended walkways are detached from the jungle surface so as to protect the fauna by preventing disruption of the natural trails. From this circuit you have a higher sight of the falls, providing you with a magnificent panoramic view. It takes around 1 hour to cover the upper circuit. The lower circuit contains over a third of a mile of walkways, also detached from the jungle floor, and has great views from below and around the falls. Overnight in Puerto Iguazu

Day 6Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian Side | Meals: B

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Iguazu Falls National Park. Once inside the park you will transfer onto the park authority’s buses. From the first balcony there is a great panoramic view of the Argentinian side of the falls. On the Brazilian side there are gorgeous panoramic views of the lower Iguazu River and the Devil’s Gorge Canyon. The elevator and the stairs lead to the shopping and restaurant area upstairs. There is some degree of difficulty as the path includes many stairs. Please note that many nationalities, including American, require a VISA to enter Brazil, and this must be obtained before travel to Argentina. Overnight in Puerto Iguazu

Day 7Head to the Pampas | Meals: B D

Your driver will take you to the airport in plenty of time for the flight Back to Buenos Aires. On arrival, a private driver and guide will be waiting to take you to the ranch in the pampas lowlands, just 45 minutes’ drive from city. Dinner is included at the hotel. Overnight at Puesto Viejo Polo Club

Day 8Relax and Depart La Pampa Province, Argentina | Meals: B

A morning to enjoy at the ranch – go for a horse ride, use the pool, or the bikes, or just relax and watch some polo which is often played on the club’s fields. You can even try your hand at polo with an optional introductory polo class – no experience required! After lunch, you will be taken to the airport for the onward flight home – or extend your stay in South America!
