Friday, October 2Departure Minneapolis-St. Paul

Crisco and your Borton Overseas host will accompany the group from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, on an evening flight departure. Borton Overseas can assist with departure arrangements from other US locations – please inquire!

Saturday, October 3Arrive Helsinki, Finland | Meals: D

Welcome to Finland! On arrival, we will claim our luggage and transfer by motor coach to idyllic Porvoo. This is one of Finland’s prettiest small towns, filled with cobblestoned streets and historic wooden warehouses. After taking in the fall colors in the countryside, our group will transfer to Helsinki with a quick stop at Sibelius Park. We will check into our hotel, then enjoy a Welcome Dinner on a tiny island in the Helsinki Archipelago, just off the coast. Overnight at Hotel Kämp, Helsinki

Sunday, October 4Helsinki | Meals: B

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a tour of Helsinki’s highlights by streetcar and foot, including Rock Church, Kamppi Chapel, Senate Square, Market Square, the Esplanade, the Art Nouveau-styled Grand Central Station, and the Oodi Library. The afternoon is free to explore independently.

Optional Tour: Löyly Sauna
Experience the ultimate Finnish tradition – a unique sauna on the Baltic Sea. Relax in either a smoke sauna or a wood sauna and take the plunge into the sea! You will receive entrance for a two-hour visit to a mixed sauna including men’s & women’s locker rooms, plus the use of a towel and robe. Transfers to and from the sauna are included. Monday, October 5Sail to Tallinn, Estonia | Meals: B

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning our group will transfer by coach to the ferry terminal for our departure to Tallinn, Estonia on a two-hour ferry ride. We will have access to the premier lounge with upgraded seating and snacks.
Upon arrival in Tallinn, we will board a coach to start our sightseeing tour of some of Tallinn’s highlights, including Pirita Olympic Harbor, St. Bridget’s Ruins, and the Song Festival Grounds. In the afternoon, we will have a walking tour of Tallinn’s charming Old Town – including the Cathedral and some hidden gems.
Your evening is free to explore Tallinn independently. Overnight at Nordic Forum Hotel, Tallinn

Tuesday, October 6Explore Tallinn | Meals: B L

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will experience both the history and modern life of this vibrant capital. Our group will visit Kadriorg Park, a legacy of the Empire. We will ride streetcars to visit a grocery market and have lunch in a revitalized former industrial neighborhood – Telliskivi Creative City. We will see the historic Kalamaja district and take in Kopli Bay’s scenic waterfront. Finally, we enjoy an Estonian craft beer tasting in a local brewery.
Your evening will be free to explore on your own. Overnight at Nordic Forum Hotel, Tallinn

Wednesday, October 7Iron Curtain Tour & Overnight Cruise | Meal: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. You will have time this morning to enjoy the hotel’s amenities or explore on your own.

A great experience today, and the chance to learn about Estonia’s Iron Curtain history with a guided visit to the KGB Prison Cells, giving a real life look and providing context about Soviet occupation. The group will finish off their visit to Estonia with a tour of the former KGB spy station atop Viru Hotel, and an intriguing insider look at the Russian cover up ways.
After which, we will transfer to the port to embark on our overnight cruise to Sweden. The ship offers live entertainment, shopping, panoramic sea views, a pool & sauna. Tonight, we will gather for a group dinner. Overnight in on-board sea view cabin

Thursday, October 8Arrive Stockholm, Sweden | Meals: B

Breakfast on board. After sailing through the archipelago, arrival this morning in Stockholm, Sweden. On disembarkation, our group will enjoy a stop at the Fjallgatan photo overlook with stunning views over Sweden’s capital city. We will visit Stockholm’s famous City Hall, a Nobel Prize Gala venue, and then lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided walking tour of Stockholm’s Gamla Stan (Old Town) and surrounding area.
This evening will be free to explore on your own. Overnight: At Six Hotel, Stockholm

Friday, October 9Stockholm | Meals: B

Breakfast at hotel. Today we will take the trip to Djurgården, Sweden’s Royal Hunting Grounds turned into a beautiful location for several museums and walking trails. The first stop will be at the Vasa Museum where the group will have a guided tour of the impressive 17th Century salvaged warship. If you’ve ever dreamed of being the 5th member of ABBA – one of Sweden’s most famous musical groups, you are in luck! The group will have a private tour of the interactive ABBA Museum. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore independently. Overnight: At Six Hotel, Stockholm

Saturday, October 10Stockholm | Meals: B D

After breakfast at the hotel, your day will be free to explore and shop on your own. Stockholm offers a wealth of sites, and between the museums, palaces, archipelago, or world class shopping – there is something to please every taste.
Tonight, the group will gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, an evening filled with delicious food and cherished memories. Overnight: At Six Hotel, Stockholm

Sunday, October 11Return to the US | Meals: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. We transfer to the airport via coach for our flight departure from Stockholm, arriving back in Minneapolis/St. Paul in the late afternoon – or extend your stay in Scandinavia!
