What aspect of travel do you enjoy the most?

The world is a huge place and I love feeling like part of it when I visit far flung places and talk to new people. Seeing historical cities, sites, and artwork in person and within context can be extremely powerful!

What is one thing you would never travel without?

An extra-long phone charger, packing cubes, and a really great day bag.

What has been your most life-changing travel experience?

Almost every trip I’ve ever taken has in some way left a mark, especially those that weren’t at the most convenient time, a bit too expensive, or not exactly what I was planning.

What has traveling taught you about yourself?

That I appreciate the organized, detailed oriented aspect of myself, but that sometimes going with the flow can open you up to the most magical moments. Travel is a great way to discover that balance!

What is your favorite destination, and why?

While Finland holds a near and dear place in my heart, I really love Þingvellir National Park in Iceland. As the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th century, it is an amazing place of stunning natural beauty, geologic importance, and fascinating ancient history. I’ve been twice and can’t wait to go back again.
