I most enjoy going somewhere where I have never been. The excitement of new experiences inspires me on so many levels, but the best part of travel is coming home!

Hands down – extra chargers and converters. I always want a full battery to capture my experiences in pictures and videos on my phone and iPad. You can never have too many. Also, my Tumi tote bag – it rolls up so compact making it easy to pack but unfolds BIG to carry home all the treasures I have collected along the way!

When I was very young and traveling alone on my first trip to Hong Kong, before cell phones and GPS, I had to get from my hotel to a meeting. I had planned it all out – but panicked when I walked out of my hotel and was among what seemed like a million people with no English directional signs. I had no idea which way to turn to find the street I needed. I ended up figuring it out and arrived at my meeting on time! I have always loved that what started off as an intimidating experience ended with me feeling confident and successful! Travel can do that for you.

Travel has taught me the importance of being a detailed planner and always having a backup plan ready to execute. I do that now in everything, in addition to travel!

Africa – the beauty and awe of Victoria Falls, to the incredible scenes of animals in the bush, and the city life in Cape Town, this continent excites me to no end!
