2023/2024 Departures: Daily, December 14 – April 11

For an exotic experience like no other, spend the night in a hotel made entirely of ice and snow! The ICEHOTEL is located in Swedish Lapland, above the Arctic Circle. Each winter, it is built with a new design and new rooms, created with 30,000 tons of snice (snow and ice) and 1,000 tons of crystal clear ice from the nearby Torne River. The temperature in the ICEHOTEL ranges between -4 and -9 C, depending on the temperature outside and the number of overnight guests. This unique structure is truly a work of art – it even has its own Ice Bar (yes, made of snow & ice). On a clear night in the peaceful north, there is a good chance to see the infamous Northern Lights dancing in the sky. For a taste of the Arctic in the summer, you can stay at the ICEHOTEL 365 which also features cold rooms with beautifully carved ice work all year long.

Day 2Arrive Kiruna - Jukkasjärvi in Northern Sweden

Arrive Stockholm, and continue with a short flight up to Kiruna. Transfer by shuttle bus from airport to Jukkasjärvi, where you will check in at the ICEHOTEL. Spend the rest of the day exploring the hotel and its facilities. Your first night will be spent in an Ice room in the ICEHOTEL (aka “cold accommodation”), where you will sleep in a specially made sleeping bag on a bed covered with reindeer skins and a sleeping mat for insulation. Your stay includes a sauna and berry drink. Overnight at the ICEHOTEL in cold accommodation (Ice Room)

Day 3Dogsledding and Wilderness Dinner | Meals: B D

In the morning, a hot drink will be brought to you, then you can enjoy a sauna, a shower, and a breakfast buffet. This morning or early afternoon, enjoy a dogsledding excursion – ride as a passenger in the sled as the dogs whisk you through the snow. Refreshment included (or option to upgrade to lunch tour). This evening, depart for a secluded wilderness camp, where you will enjoy a 3-course dinner made and served by your guide, who will also talk about the Northern Lights, which will hopefully make an appearance in the night sky. Overnight at the ICEHOTEL in warm accommodation (Kaamos room)

Day 4Optional Adventures in Lapland | Meals: B
