My phone. So many things needed are contained within it!

My most life-changing travel experience was a trip to the Philippines. I spent a month there with my mom and was immersed in a culture very different from my own. Some of our relatives live in mountain towns with very limited resources, yet they are among the happiest people I have ever met. The experience was deeply humbling and changed the way I think about life fulfillment. Seeing people find joy, gratitude, and strong community despite having so little made me appreciate many things I had taken for granted.

After my first solo trip to San Francisco for a milestone birthday, I learned that I still enjoy complete independence from time to time!

My favorite destination thus far is Jamaica. I love Jamaican cuisine, the people, and the culture. Some of the most nationally proud people I’ve ever met are Jamaicans. They carry a very strong sense of pride in their country, culture, and identity. Further, their beaches and sunsets are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
