Day 3Valley and Fjord | Meals: B D

Greet your group before heading westward, passing through the forests and lakes of Norway’s heartland. This afternoon you will reach the beautiful Hallingdal Valley, where a stop at Geilo, the famous ski resort town, will be made. After Hallingdal you will head to the gorgeous Hardangerfjord where you will stop for an overnight in the village of Lofthus. A traditional Norwegian dinner set to views of the fjord is included at your hotel this evening. Overnight in Lofthus in fjord view room

Day 4The Bridge Toward Bergen | Meals: B

Depart Lofthus this morning and travel along the Hardangerfjord to the massive Hardanger Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Norway. Continue on your way to Bergen, often referred to as the Gateway to the Fjords. In Bergen you will meet a local guide and enjoy a two-hour walking tour of the city, seeing areas like the famous Bryggen Wharf, the fish market, and Håkons Hall. The rest of the evening is at leisure to perhaps take the funicular up Mount Fløyen for an amazing view of the city, or visit the Maritime Museum for a brief introduction to Bergen’s history as a coastal city. Overnight in Bergen

Day 5Fabulous Flåm and Ferry | Meals: B D

Early this morning you will depart Bergen, heading to the town of Voss where you will board a train to the mountain station of Myrdal. From Myrdal you will take the historic Flåmsbana train along one of the world’s most scenic journeys, through mountains and past fjords. Arrive in Flåm at the conclusion and enjoy some time for a snack in this quaint fjord village. The next leg of your journey will take you along one of UNESCO’s World Heritage-listed fjords, the Nærøyfjord, a branch off of the Sognefjord. Arrive in Gudvangen after this fjord cruise, where you will board the bus again and head north to Loen, where you will spend the night overlooking the Nordfjord. Overnight in Loen in fjord view room

Day 6A Day to Explore | Meals: B D

Today is at leisure to enjoy the luxurious hotel facilities and surrounding hiking paths. For those wanting something else, there is an optional excursion to the Briksdal Glacier. This glacier is part of Europe’s largest glacier, Jostedalsbreen. After arriving, you will make a visit to the glacier’s foot by traveling on small “Troll Cars.” After fully experiencing this massive glacier you will be taken back to the hotel to meet up with the rest of the tour group and continue to your accommodations in the town of Geiranger. Before dinner, there will be a special tour of the hotel’s antique car collection. Overnight in Geiranger in fjord view room

Day 7 Winding Turns of Geirangerfjord and Trollstigen | Meals: B D

Today’s itinerary includes an exhilarating and exciting drive along two of Norway’s famous winding mountain roads. Traveling on the Ørnevegen, “the Eagle Road”, and Trollstigen, or “Troll’s Path”, will give you bird’s eye views of the Geirangerfjord and mountainous countryside. Stops at viewpoints will bring you up close to fabulous waterfalls. You will pause for lunch (not included) in a local community and arrive back at the hotel with the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in Geiranger in fjord view room

Day 8Return to Oslo | Meals: B

Early this morning say goodbye to the beautiful Norwegian fjords and board the bus bound for Oslo. Along the way you will have a chance to stop at Dalsnibba, an observation point 4,843 miles high with a perfect view of the Geirangerfjord, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, you will head to Lom and see Norway’s oldest stavkirke, a wooden church dating back to the 12th century. Arrive in Oslo this afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the capital city. Overnight in Oslo
