Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Oslo, Norway

Upon arrival take the airport train into downtown Oslo. The rest of your day will be spent at leisure adjusting to the time difference, and getting acquainted with Norway’s capital. Overnight in Oslo

Day 3Norway’s Capital City, Oslo | Meals: B

Explore Oslo on your own today. Oslo is a nature-centric city, with greenery and wooded areas never far away. Besides enjoying these spaces, it is recommended to take the ferry down to the island Bygdøy to see the many museums there, including the Viking Ship Museum. Another suggestion is a stroll through Vigelandsparken, the largest single-artist sculpture garden in the world. Pack a small bag for tomorrow night and leave the rest of your luggage with hotel reception. Porter service will be by early tomorrow morning to transport it directly to your Bergen hotel. Overnight in Oslo

Day 4Sognefjord in a Nutshell to Flåm | Meals: B

Depart by train this morning, beginning your Sognefjord in a Nutshell journey. Travel to the small, mountain station of Myrdal. After a short layover, transfer to the famous Flåmsbana (Flåm Railway). This hour-long historic train ride will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of western Norway, slowing down and even stopping at the most scenic spots. Arrive in the well-known fjord village of Flåm for a short break to enjoy the sights and have a cup of coffee or ice cream as you take in the fresh mountain air before your boat departs. This five-hour fjord cruise will leave Flåm and travel through the Sognefjord, also known as The King of the Fjords, passing quaint fjord villages scattered along the shoreline. Arrive in Bergen and transfer independently from the harbor to your hotel, meeting up again with your luggage. Overnight in Bergen

Day 5Bergen & Hurtigruten Cruise Departure | Meals: B D

Spend the morning sightseeing in Bergen. A hike or Fløibanen Funicular journey up to the top of Mount Fløyen is a must for first-time visitors to the city. There is great shopping in the old Hanseatic wharf Bryggen, as well as numerous fascinating museums and historic sights. This afternoon transfer independently to the Hurtigruten Quay to check into your cabin and get your voyage packet. Enjoy dinner on board this evening before departing Bergen and starting your voyage. Overnight on board

Day 6Florø - Måløy - Tørvik - Ålesund – Molde | Meals: B L D

Depending on how early you wake up this morning, you may spot Europe’s highest sea cliff Hornelen before having breakfast. Continuing through the open ocean, you may head inland to experience one of two amazing fjords. Beginning in June your ship will sail into the Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From September through October you will sail into Hjørundfjord, a lesser known but equally beautiful fjord. Travelers in the late spring will continue north, spending additional time in the stunning historic cities of Ålesund and Trondheim. Optional shore excursions are available. Overnight on board

Day 7Kristiansund – Arrive Trondheim | Meals: B

The ship arrives this morning in ancient Trondheim, Norway’s first capital. Transfer independently to your hotel and spend the afternoon discovering the many beautiful places to be found. Visit Nidaros Cathedral to see the Norwegian Crown Jewels and the rumored final resting place for Norway’s Patron Saint Olav. If you are looking for a more active afternoon, rent a bicycle and try out the world’s first and only bicycle escalator. Overnight in Trondheim
