Enjoy the highlights of one of Norway’s most spectacular day trips and three of its most popular cities. Visit Trondheim, home of the famous Nidaros Cathedral, before sailing on Hurtigruten south to Bergen. From there journey on the Sognefjord in a Nutshell over to Oslo, Norway’s capital.

Day 2Arrive Trondheim, Norway

Arrive in Trondheim, Norway’s first capital. Transfer to your hotel and spend the afternoon discovering the many beautiful places to be found. Overnight in Trondheim

Day 3Exploring Trondheim | Meals: B

Today is open for you to continue your exploration of Trondheim. Visit Nidaros Cathedral to see the Norwegian Crown Jewels and the rumored final resting place for Norway’s Patron Saint Olav. If you are looking for a more active adventure, rent a bicycle and try out the world’s first and only bicycle escalator. Overnight in Trondheim

Day 4Hurtigruten Cruise Departure | Meals: B L D

This morning transfer independently to the Hurtigruten Quay to check into your cabin and get your voyage packet. Set sail from Trondheim, then on to Kristiansund , the “cured cod capital” due to its history of exporting the salted and dried fish. Between Kristiansund and Molde, the city of roses, it is possible to see the Romsdal Alps tonight. Optional shore excursions are available.Overnight on board

Day 5Torvik - Måløy - Florø – Bergen | Meals: B L

Start your day by taking in the stunning Norwegian coastline as it slips by your ship. Passing Måløy and the entrance to the magnificent Nordfjord before lunch, you arrive and disembark in Bergen this afternoon, taking with you memories of a unique journey. Transfer to your hotel. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Bergen

Day 6Sognefjord in a Nutshell | Meals: B

Depart this morning on your Sognefjord in a Nutshell excursion. A five-hour fjord cruise will travel through the Sognefjord, also known as The King of the Fjords, passing quaint fjord communities scattered along the shoreline. Arrive in the well-known fjord village of Flåm for a short break to enjoy the sights and have a cup of coffee or ice cream as you take in the fresh mountain air. Then you will board the famous Flåmsbana (Flåm Railway). This hour-long, historic train ride will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of western Norway, slowing down and even stopping at the most scenic spots. Travel to the small, mountain station of Myrdal. After a short layover, transfer to the Bergen Railway to complete your journey to Oslo. Overnight in Oslo

Day 7Norway’s Capital City, Oslo | Meals: B

Explore Oslo on your own today. Oslo is a nature-centric city, with greenery and wooded areas never far away. Besides enjoying these spaces, it is recommended to take the ferry down to the island Bygdøy to see the many museums there, including the Viking Ship Museum. Another suggestion is a stroll through Vigelandsparken, the largest single-artist sculpture garden in the world. Overnight in Oslo

Day 8Depart Oslo, Norway | Meals: B

Transfer to the airport for your return flights to the US – or extend your stay in Scandinavia!
