Starting in Bergen and the fjords of Norway and nights in Oslo will immerse you in the Nordic lifestyle. Travel by train from Oslo through the countryside of Sweden to Stockholm. This sensational escorted tour is then enhanced with a six-day cruise across the Baltic Seas including calls in Helsinki, St. Petersburg, and Tallinn.

Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Bergen, Norway

Arrive in Bergen. Transfer from the airport to the city center and on to your hotel. The rest of the day is open for your exploration of the “Gateway to the Fjords.” A hike or Fløibanen Funicular journey up to the top of Mount Fløyen is a must for first-time visitors to the city. Overnight in Bergen

Day 3Bergen Highlights | Meals: B

This morning, meet a local guide for a two-hour tour of Bergen. This walking tour will take you by some of the most iconic sights of the city. The renowned Hanseatic Bryggen and fish market, the Church of Mary, and the Hakon Fortress are on your itinerary. The rest of the day is free for you to revisit these locations for longer inspection, shop along the wharf, or take in the numerous fascinating museums and historic sights to be found in this UNESCO World Heritage City. Optional excursions are also available, such as a food tour or a sightseeing dinner cruise. Overnight in Bergen

Day 4Sognefjord Cruise | Meals: B D

Depart from the nearby Bergen port, heading through the magnificent Sognefjord to Balestrand. The afternoon will be at your leisure to discover the area. Perhaps spend time along the shores of the Sognefjord, or head into the mountains for a hike. If you are looking for a more laid back activity, a visit to the local cidery is definitely a great stop. Overnight in Balestrand

Day 5Fjaerland Excursion or Day to Relax | Meals: B D

Travel deeper into the fjords on an optional excursion to see two of Norway’s glaciers, as well as visit the Norwegian Glacier Museum. As you cruise to Fjærland, you’ll pass hamlets and mountains with glittering waterfalls. Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Europe, is visible as you cruise. You will take a bus to the Bøya Glacier and the Norwegian Glacier Museum. After the glacier visit, you will return to Balestrand by boat. Instead, you may prefer a day of relaxation or hiking near the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Balestrand

Day 6To the East | Meals: B D

Today’s travel east begins with a cruise along the Aurlandsfjord to the fjord village of Flåm, where you can enjoy lunch and time on your own. In the afternoon you’ll board the famous Flåmsbana railway for a hour-long journey that will take you along some of the most scenic sights in Norway. After arriving in the small mountain station of Myrdal, a journey on the Bergen Railway will take you to Norway’s capital, Oslo. Overnight in Oslo

Day 7Oslo Sights | Meals: B L

You will enjoy a guided tour of Oslo’s highlights: Vigeland’s Sculpture Garden, the Royal Palace, City Hall, Akershus Fortress, and the Viking Ship Museum. The remainder of day is at your leisure. Would you like to see the Northern Lights. Even in summer, you can behold the Aurora Borealis with an optional excursion to the educational and creative Northern Lights Experience located in central Oslo. Overnight in Oslo

Day 8Train to Stockholm| Meals: B D

Prepare to witness the scenery of southern Sweden as you travel by train to Stockholm. Once you arrive, you will transfer to the port to board your ship and begin your Baltic cruise. Don’t worry, you’ll have time to get to know Stockholm on your return to the capital city. Overnight on board

Day 9Cruise the Baltic Sea | Meals: B L D

Marvel at the magnificent ocean views as you cruise through the Baltic Sea. From beauty treatments and massages to restaurants, dancing, and theater shows, your ship has activities to entertain everyone. Overnight in on board

Day 10Helsinki | Meals: B L D

After arriving in Helsinki this morning you can leave your belongings in your cabin as you will be on the same ship tonight to continue your cruise. Disembark and spend the morning on a three-hour tour of Helsinki, visiting the Sibelius Monument, Tuomiokirkko Cathedral, Temppeliaukio rock church, and more. Return to the ship for lunch or spend the afternoon shopping the many vendors by the harbor or take the boat over to Suomenlinna Fortress to explore this sea fortress and Helsinki’s military history. Re-board your ship late this afternoon for the cruise to St. Petersburg. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 11St. Petersburg's Beautiful Places| Meals: B L D

Enjoy today learning about the culture and history of St. Petersburg with a local guide. Among the sights you will see are St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and the Hermitage with its six magnificent buildings along the River Neva. A lunch of local cuisine and cruise along the canal will complete your afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 12Russian Panorama | Meals: B L D

Visit the Fortress of Peter and Paul and experience the panorama of St. Petersburg. A local lunch will fortify you for a tour of the spectacular Peterhof in Pushkin. Influenced by Versailles, Peterhof includes the Grand Palace, an expansive park, and many fabulous fountains. The ship will depart early this evening for Estonia. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 13The Capital of Estonia | Meals: B L D

Your ship will dock this morning in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital. This Hanseatic city has a long history of international commerce and today boasts of a entrepreneurial spirit. A guided, four-hour tour will take you through the Old Town where you will visit the Orthodox Cathedral Alexander Nevsky, the City Hall Square, Toompea Castle among other popular sites. Return to the ship for dinner. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 14Return to Stockholm | Meals: B L D

Tour Stockholm this morning with a local guide. You will get a taste of the 14 islands Stockholm is situated on including the old town Gamla Stan, with its cobblestone alleyways and quaint shops, and City Hall, home to the Nobel Banquet every year. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore some of the sights seen on your tour or other sites such as the famous Vasa Museum to see the salvaged ship that sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 15Depart Stockholm, Sweden | Meals: B

Transfer to the airport for your flight home – or extend your stay with an independent package in Scandinavia!
