This panoramic 10-day sojourn winds its way from Cape Town to Pretoria and includes a golfing and non-golfing itinerary. The luxurious train includes all meals, alcoholic beverages and other drinks while on board, and game drives are on the agenda for everyone. The non-golfers can look forward to city tours, game drives, and a visit to an ostrich farm, while the golfers enjoy multiple picturesque African courses. All the park fees, guides, green/course fees, and 24-hour room service while on the train are included. Traverse Africa in luxurious style, whether you want to golf your way through beautiful landscapes or spend your days exploring the various diverse cities and parks that South Africa has to offer.

This morning you will depart from Cape Town Station and begin your adventure (9:30 a.m.). Today’s journey travels through the Tulbagh Valley through the Matroosberg Mountains. (Breakfast 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Lunch 1:00 p.m., Tea 4:30 p.m., Dinner 7:30 p.m.)

Day 2Golfing at Ernie Els Oubaii | Meals: B L D

Golfers: Morning tee off at Ernie Els Oubaai with lunch. 6:30 p.m. Meet the non-golfers for dinner at the estate.
Non-golfers: 10:00 a.m. Morning at leisure in Knysna/ferry ride to Featherbed. Return to train. 6:30 p.m. Disembark for dinner at Fancourt Estate.
Overnight on train

Day 3Golfing at Fancourt Golf Estate | Meals: B L D

Golfers: Morning tee off at Fancourt Golf Estate.
Non-golfers: 8:30 a.m. Transfer to Oudtshoorn for an ostrich-farm visit. 1:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch on board en route to Port Elizabeth.
Overnight on train

Day 4Tee off at Humewood | Meals: B L D

Golfers: 7:00 a.m. Transfer to Humewood for tee off with lunch. 4:00 p.m. Transfer to Coerney to rejoin train.
Non-golfers: 10:15 a.m. City tour of Port Elizabeth. Enjoy lunch on board. 2:30 p.m. Game drive in the Addo Elephant Park. 5:30 p.m. Traverse the Fish River Valley to Noupoort.

Day 5Day on Train | Meals: B L D

All: Day at leisure as the train travels the border of Lesotho (the Mountain Kingdom) en route to Ladysmith. Overnight on train

Day 6Tee off at Champagne Sports Resort | Meals: B L D

Golfers: 7:00 a.m. Transfer to Champagne Sports Resort for tee off. 3:00 p.m. Transfer to Escourt.
Non-golfers: 9:00 a.m. Spionkop battlefields tour, game drive and lunch. 5:00 p.m. Rejoin the train and depart for Durban.
Overnight on train

Day 7Durban Club/Zimbali Golfing | Meals: B L D

Golfers: Morning tee off at Durban Club/Zimbali with lunch.
Non-golfers: 9:00 a.m. Disembark in Durban for a city tour with lunch. 4:00 p.m. Travel the coast and St. Lucia Wetland Park to Hluhluwe.
Overnight on train

Day 8Game Drive in Hluhluwe Reserve | Meals: B L D

All: 7:00 a.m. Game drive at Hluhluwe Reserve. 11:00 a.m. Travel north through Swaziland to Malelane, Kruger.

Day 9Golfing at Leopard Creek | Meals: B L D

Golfers: Morning tee off at Leopard Creek (dependent) with lunch.
Non-golfers: 7:00 a.m. Game drive in the Kruger Park with lunch. 4:30 p.m. Travel across the Drakensberg to Waterval Onder.
Overnight on train

Day 10Disembark in Pretoria | Meals: B L

All: Day at leisure as the train descends the escarpment. 5:00 p.m. Arrive at journey’s end at Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria.
