Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Oslo, Norway

Upon arrival, transfer from Oslo Gardermoen Airport to central city hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Norway’s capital. You may wish to venture to Vigeland Sculpture Garden or cross the water to the Bygdøy area, with several fascinating museums, including Viking Ship Museum and the outdoor Norsk Folkemuseum, with a stave church. Overnight in Oslo

Day 3Westward to Hardangerfjord | Meals: B L D

Depart Oslo, heading west across the landscape, which alternates between forests of pine and lakes, to the Hallingdal Valley. Visit the town of Gol and also Geilo, a small town surrounded by mountains, known for its ski resorts. After lunch at a historic hotel in Geilo, we continue to the Hardangerfjord region and to the town of Lofthus. Dinner at your historic accommodation awaits, with beautiful fjord views. Overnight in Lofthus

Day 4Hardanger region to Bergen | Meals: B

Depart Lofthus, crossing the fjord by way of the Hardanger suspension bridge. After a scenic journey, afternoon arrival into Bergen, where you will enjoy a two-hour sightseeing tour to include stops at St. Mary’s Church, Haakon’s Hall, the fish market, and the old Hanseatic Bryggen area with its colorful wooden buildings. Evening is at leisure. Overnight in Bergen

Day 5Sognefjord and Loen | Meals: B D

Travel to the stunning fjord village of Flåm, where you have the opportunity to relax and take in the serene setting, or perhaps opt for an optional excursion: riding on the infamous Flåm Railway or drive to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint above Aurlandsfjord. In the afternoon, the group will embark on a short ferry trip along the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the country. The journey continues through the impressive mountains of Gaula to the town of Loen, beautifully situated between mountains, lakes and fjords. Dinner at hotel – this evening you may wish to take a ride on the Loen Sky Lift, located next door, for a breathtaking view from above. Overnight in Loen

Day 6Glacier and Geirangerfjord | Meals: B D

Enjoy the morning excursion to Briksdal Glacier, where we travel by small motorized “troll cars” and walk through nature to the glacier, experiencing its blue ice. Lunch break at the café, then return to Loen. Journey through the Norwegian mountains to Hellesylt for a ferry ride on the UNESCO World Heritage listed Geirangerfjord, situated amongst lush mountains and waterfalls. Before dinner at your Geiranger hotel, special tour of a vintage car collection from the 1920’s and 30’s. Overnight in Geiranger

Day 7Trollstigen and views | Meals: B D

Travel north for the day to explore Trollstigen Road (or “Troll’s Path”). The steepest section of the road between Geiranger and Eidsdal is called “The Eagle’s Road” with 11 hairpin turns, with the uppermost bend offering a spectacular viewpoint over the fjord. Driving Trollstigen is a dramatic and exciting experience, the road cut into the mountain in some places with other parts built on stone walls, plus a natural stone bridge to waterfall Stigfossen. This impressive piece of engineering dates back over 100 years. At the top of Trollstigen, there are viewpoints and walkways. Afternoon return to Geiranger, with dinner at hotel. Overnight in Geiranger

Day 8Return to Oslo | Meals: B

Morning visit to the observation point at Dalsnibba (subject to climate permission), with excellent view of Geirangerfjord. Continue to Lom to admire the oldest wooden church in Norway, dating from the 12th century. Afternoon arrival in Oslo, where a two-hour guided walking city tour will be offered. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Oslo

Day 9Depart Oslo, Norway | Meals: B

Transfer to the airport in conjunction with your flight home – or extend your stay with an independent package in Scandinavia!
