Set sail from Bergen on a leisurely northbound Arctic tour to the secluded Kirkenes harbor. Along the way, discover the captivating beauty and Arctic wonders of coastal Norway, including Europe’s most northerly point, the North Cape, and – with luck – catch a glimpse of the magical Northern Lights. In Kirkenes, cozy up for a night at the storied Snowhotel Kirkenes.

Day 1Departure from US

Day 2Arrive Bergen, Norway

Arrive this afternoon and take the airport bus into downtown Bergen. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure sightseeing in Bergen, a city often referred to as the entrance to the fjords. A hike or Fløibanen Funicular journey up to the top of Mount Fløyen is a must for first-time visitors to the city. There is great shopping in the old Hanseatic wharf, Bryggen, as well as numerous fascinating museums and historic sights to be found today. Overnight in Bergen

Day 3Bergen Cruise Departure | Meals: B D

Spend the morning sightseeing in Bergen. This afternoon transfer to the Hurtigruten Quay to check into your cabin and get your voyage packet. Enjoy dinner on board this evening before departing Bergen and beginning your voyage. You will cruise along the enchanting Norwegian coast for the next six days. As you travel north, you will have the chance to enjoy interesting presentations and many ports of call. So sit back and enjoy the journey to Norway’s Arctic! Overnight on board

Day 4Florø - Måløy - Tørvik - Ålesund - Molde | Meals: B L D

Today’s sailing takes you past the mouths of many of Norway’s famous fjords, the Sognefjord and the Nordfjord, though you may have to stay up very late or get up very early to spot them. The largest port you will visit today is Ålesund, a picturesque city with unique Art Nouveau architectural design. Perhaps disembark and enjoy the city independently, or join one of the optional shore excursions available.Overnight on board

Day 5Kristiansund - Trondheim - Rørvik | Meals: B L D

The ship arrives this morning in ancient Trondheim, Norway’s first capital. Trondheim is a great place to disembark and explore independently or on a shore excursion. Visit Nidaros Cathedral to see the Norwegian Crown Jewels, Ringve Music Museum, or stroll independently down the historic streets enjoying cafés and shops along the way. Board the ship again as you continue north, stopping in Rørvik this evening. Optional shore excursions are available. Overnight on board

Day 6Brønnøysund - Sandnessjøen - Nesna - Ørnes - Bodø - Stamsund - Svolvær | Meals: B L D

This morning you will be crossing into the Arctic Circle, an invisible border at 66° 33′ North. During summer in the Arctic Circle the Midnight Sun shines at night and in the winter the magical Northern Lights brighten the sky. Sailing today you will pass the beautiful Helgeland Coast before coming up the Lofotveggen, the wall of mountains that signals your arrival to the Lofoten Islands. Optional shore excursions are available. Overnight on board

Day 7Stokmarknes - Sortland - Risøyhamn - Harstad - Finnsnes - Tromsø - Skjervøy | Meals: B L D

As you continue your journey north today you will pass some of the most gorgeous winter scenery you have ever seen. The dramatic peaks and snow-covered valleys welcome you to the capital of the arctic, Tromsø. As the largest city in Norway’s portion of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø has always been an important final stop for voyages north. If traveling in January and early February, you also have a good chance at spotting whales from the ship. Optional shore excursions are available. Overnight on board

Day 8Øksfjord - Hammerfest - Havøysund - Honningsvåg - Kjøllefjord - Mehamn - Berlevåg | Meals: B L D

Enter Norway’s northernmost county Finnmark this morning. Finnmark’s landscape is austere in its beauty, teeming with wildlife. Watch for rookeries of puffins and gannets along the cliffs and pods of orca hunting for herring. You will pass the North Cape this afternoon, the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean meet, and also the farthest north you can go on a public road in Europe. After calling at Honningsvåg, the capital of the North Cape, the ship heads east toward the pretty fishing villages of Kjøllefjord, Mehamn, and Berlevåg. Optional shore excursions are available. Day 9Båtsfjord - Vardø - Vadsø - Kirkenes | Meals: B

Arrive at your last stop on the Northern Coastal Voyage, Kirkenes, located only 6 miles from the Russian border. Many exciting excursions are available for pre-booking, including dog sledding and King Crab fishing. There are also many famous museums and cultural centers about the history and heritage of the region. Take the included transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of your day at leisure. Overnight in Kirkenes

Day 10Snowhotel | Meals: B D

Your morning is at leisure to enjoy an optional excursion in Kirkenes, or spend time exploring independently. This afternoon you will be transferred to the iconic Snowhotel Kirkenes. Curl up tonight in a cozy Snow Suite that is chilled to between 21 and 25 degrees Fahrenheit and decorated in beautiful artwork made from snow. Overnight at Snowhotel Kirkenes

Day 11Back at Oslo | Meals: B

Leaving the Arctic this morning, take your transfer back to the airport for your flight to Oslo. Upon arrival, transfer to Oslo city center and check in at your hotel. Enjoy Oslo independently this evening. Overnight in Oslo

Day 12Oslo | Meals: B

Today, use your Oslo Pass for free public transit to explore Norway’s Capital City. Oslo is a nature centric city, with wooded areas and natural experiences never far away. A trip to Holmenkollen Ski Jump to try your hand at many winter activities and experience amazing views is recommended. If you choose to stay in the city center, perhaps visit the island Bygdøy to see the many museums there including the new Munch Museum. Free and reduced entrance to many museums and attractions is included with your Oslo Pass. Overnight in Oslo

Day 13Depart Oslo, Norway | Meals: B

Transfer back to the international airport for your flight back home – or extend your stay in Scandinavia!
