October 14 – 19, 2020
A geothermal wonderland, Northern Iceland holds many of the secrets to Icleand’s otherworldly reputation. This October, join Twin Cities Meteorologist Sven Sundgaard on an off-the-beaten-path adventure to the Land of Fire & Ice. From the geothermal landscapes and hot springs around Lake Mývatn to the waterfall of the Gods, Goðafoss (Godafoss), the Diamond Circle is sure to inspire your curiosity and sense of adventure. We’ll be on the lookout for whales in Húsavík, the whale watching capital of Europe, and hopefully also catch a glimpse of the elusive Northern Lights. Then you can choose to end your trip with a relaxing soak in the mineral waters at the famous Blue Lagoon! In between all these delights, Sven will be sure to share his knowledge and use his expertise to make this journey as educational as it is fun! Your sense of wonder will thrive and your thirst for knowledge will be quenched – won’t you join us?
