Crisco and your Borton Overseas Scandinavia host will meet the group at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, for an evening departure on Icelandair flight. Borton Overseas can assist with departure arrangements from other US locations – please inquire!

Saturday, October 11Arrive Copenhagen, Denmark | Meals: B D

After a plane change in Reykjavik, group flight continues to Denmark. On arrival, we will claim our luggage and transfer by motor coach into the city center of the capital city of Copenhagen. Your afternoon is free to relax and explore independently. This evening, we will come together for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Copenhagen Strand Hotel

Sunday, October 12Copenhagen & Roskilde | Meals: B

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will enjoy a full day of immersive sightseeing in the capital city of Copenhagen and the nearby town of Roskilde! On this tour we will begin with the highlights of Copenhagen, including classic historic sites like the Little Mermaid Statue, Amalienborg Palace, and more. Continue west to Roskilde for a visit to the Viking Ship Museum and the beautiful Roskilde Cathedral. Return to Copenhagen for an evening at leisure. Overnight at Copenhagen Strand Hotel

Monday, October 13Copenhagen - ferry at sea | Meals: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, free time for independent sightseeing, shopping, or relaxing. In early afternoon, our group will transfer by coach to the ferry terminal for our departure by overnight cruise to Oslo, Norway. Enjoy this entertaining and relaxing journey across the Kattegat, the stretch where the North and Baltic Seas meet. The ship offers world class food, tax-free shopping, bar/lounges, a wellness area, live music, and more. We will enjoy a group dinner together on board. Overnight in on-board seaview cabin

Tuesday, October 14Arrive in Oslo | Meals: B L

Breakfast on board. Arrival this morning in Oslo, Norway. Upon disembarkation, our group will enjoy a three-hour sightseeing tour by coach. Experience the rich history and culture of the city while discovering its beautiful landmarks, including Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen Ski Jump, views of the iconic Opera House, historic Akershus Fortress, the vibrant Aker Brygge waterfront, and more. Following our tour, we will drop off luggage at the hotel and continue our Oslo experience on a food tour in Grünerløkka, a trendy neighborhood filled with exciting eateries and cozy cafes. Wednesday, October 15Free Day in Oslo | Meal: B

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free to take in the sights and sounds of Norway’s vibrant capital. Or – join an optional excursion:

This pass offers free entrance into many of the beautiful museums, to include the Norwegian Folk, Fram, and Kon-Tiki Museums of Bygdøy Peninsula. Thursday, October 16Oslo - Flåm - Balestrand | Meals: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. From Oslo, we will journey across the beautiful countryside to the small mountain station of Myrdal. This is the starting point of one of the most famous railways, the Flåmsbana, or Flåm Railway. Descend into the fjord valley with stops at scenic overlooks and stunning waterfalls. Arrive in the small village of Flåm. Mid-afternoon, we will continue by express boat, traveling the spectacular Sognefjord, also known as the King of the Fjords. This beautiful cruise takes us to the village of Balestrand and our historic accommodation.
This evening, we will be treated to a visit to Ciderhuset, the local cider producer in Balestrand. We begin with a cider tasting of five samples while we learn about the history of cider production in the Sognefjord area, followed by a group dinner. Choose your favorite of the cider samples to enjoy with your meal! Overnight at Kviknes Hotel, Balestrand

Friday, October 17Balestrand - Bergen | Meals: B

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure as we continue by express boat, cruising the remainder of the length of the Sognefjord on to Bergen. Arrival mid-day with the afternoon and evening free to sightsee and dine independently. Overnight at Clarion Hotel Bergen

Saturday, October 18Bergen | Meals: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we will explore the picturesque city of Bergen on a two-hour guided walking tour featuring the highlights that Bergen is known for: its stunning mountain scenery, colorful houses, UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf, and charming fish market. Your afternoon is free for independent exploration. Tonight, the group will gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, an evening filled with delicious food and cherished memories. Sunday, October 19Return to the US | Meals: B D

Breakfast at the hotel. We transfer to the airport for our flight departure from Bergen, arriving back in Minneapolis/St. Paul in the late afternoon – or extend your stay in Scandinavia!
