Pat EvansPat is a veteran broadcast journalist and meteorologist who has worked for numerous news organizations across the country and most recently for 26 years at KARE 11 News, the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis/St. Paul. An Emmy award winner, Pat has interviewed countless newsmakers, celebrities, chefs, and authors over his illustrious career. In addition to reporting, Pat anchored multiple shows and was also a meteorologist on the award-winning KARE 11 weather team.

A global citizen and forever curious, Pat has a passion for traveling our great planet.  As a young boy, he studied in Spain, which ignited the travel bug. He loves getting to know destinations in an intimate way by exploring the fascinating intersection of people, food, and culture. Pat has put stamps from over 50 countries in his passport and he’s still counting! You will enjoy getting to know Pat and his impressive career connections, as well as his curious nature and his love for Costa Rica and its treasures.

Costa Rica is located in Central America, between Nicaragua and Panama, bathed by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. This little piece of land is home to a population of under 5 million people and thousands of animal and colorful bird species.

Five percent of the world’s biodiversity can be found within Costa Rica’s borders and great efforts have been made to preserve this rich resource; protected national parks make up almost 25% of the land – more than any other country in the world.

This tour will appeal to anyone with a desire to be up close and personal with the Costa Rican culture, including its wildlife, rainforests and beaches.  A love for hiking, exploring, and being outside (rain or shine), along with pampering in first-class accommodations is required.  Perfect for couples and solo travelers!

We didn’t forget to add some free time to explore, shop, savor and soak in the gems of Costa Rica!

This is a Borton Overseas Specialty Journey – a premier, small-group tour hosted by Emmy award winner Pat Evans, a veteran broadcast journalist and meteorologist.
