Join Borton Overseas Managing Director, Linda McCormick, on this festive pre-holiday trip to Oslo. Shop the Christmas Markets, enjoy traditional Julemat (Christmas food), and attend the Nutcracker Ballet at the Oslo Opera. There will also be time on your own to explore Norway’s capital and visit museums and sights. Option to extend your stay in Norway or elsewhere!

Breakfast at the hotel. Use your Oslo card for independent sightseeing, and enjoy the Christmas Market at the Norwegian Folk Museum, and other markets in the city center. Overnight at Thon Hotel Bristol

Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll visit Baerum’s Verk, a historic ironworks village, just outside the city. It’s decorated for Christmas, and features many small shops of handicrafts, as well as a Christmas Market. Enjoy dinner in one of the historic houses. Overnight at Thon Hotel Bristol

Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll have a day in the kitchen when we participate in a Norwegian Christmas Cooking Course, then we can dine on the fruits of our labor! This evening, we’ll attend the Nutcracker Ballet. Overnight at Thon Hotel Bristol
Wednesday, December 6 Depart Oslo B
Breakfast at the hotel. You have some time for last minute shopping and sightseeing before our mid-morning transfer to the airport. Depart at 2:05 pm, arrive in Reykjavik 3:45 pm. Change planes, depart at 4:45 pm, arrive Minneapolis 5:05 pm

Wednesday, December 6 Reykjavik – Blue Lagoon B
Arrive Reykjavik at 3:45 pm. Transfer to the Blue Lagoon for a warm, relaxing soak in the geothermal water. Then an evening transfer to your centrally located hotel. Overnight at Centerhotel Arnarhvoll
Thursday, December 7 Golden Circle B
Breakfast at your hotel. Your Golden Circle guided tour will introduce you to Iceland! See the Nesjavellir geothermal field, and Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where the tectonic plates of Europe and North America meet and one of the world's oldest parliament was founded in 930 AD. See the Gullfoss (Golden Falls), majestic and thunderous as well as the Geysir geothermal area, home of the famous Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Return to your hotel, evening at leisure. Friday, December 8 Reykjavik – Minneapolis or One More Day in Reykjavik B
Breakfast at your hotel. Morning is at leisure, then transfer to the airport for your return flight to Minneapolis, departing at 4:45 pm. Arrive Minneapolis at 5:05 pm.

Norwegian Christmas Experience:
Oslo is a very pedestrian-friendly city, and this trip will require walking for independent activities. Taxis are readily available, and can be used for transportation at your own expense.
