Itinerary Details

Maun, Botswana

Days 1-2  Maun, Botswana - Okavango Delta   B L D
Arrive in Maun, Botswana, where you board a light aircraft to your camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta. On arrival, your guide meets you. Accommodation for two nights is in a Wilderness Classic Camp with en-suite facilities.
Choice of Camps: Okavango Delta or Moremi

Days 3-4  Okavango Delta in Moremi Wildlife Reserve   B L D
After breakfast, depart by light aircraft to another Wilderness Classic Camp within the Okavango Delta. The heart of the Delta is the Moremi Game Reserve. All the major habitats of the Okavango are preserved here. Around Moremi are large private reserves (locally known as concessions) that are leased out to safari companies under strict guidelines. These private reserves offer the very best safari experiences with massive tracts of pristine parkland and privacy encountered in very few places in Africa these days. One can go out all day in some areas and not see another soul, besides the animals on the savannah.
Choice of Camps – Okavango Delta or Moremi

Days 5-6  Okavango Delta in Linyanti Reserve   B L D
To the northeast of the Okavango Delta are the Chobe and Linyanti game reserves. These areas are renowned for their predators and large concentrations of game, particularly elephant. Dereck and Beverly Joubert made the region famous in their National Geographic films; "Eternal Enemies" is a classic, and chronicles the interaction between lion and hyena.  There are many varied habitats within the Chobe and Linyanti parks: marshes, waterways, riverine forests, dry woodlands and the world famous Savuti Channel. The Savuti Channel is a waterway that connects the Linyanti River with the interior of the Chobe National Park at the Savuti Marsh. The Savuti has only ever flowed intermittently and dried up for the last time in 1980. As recently as 2008, the Savuti Channel has begun to flow again! Today, rather than an open grassland, it is a flowing waterway attracting a variety of different animals.
Choice of Camps - Linyanti
