Search Cruises

The following gives you a brief description of the various areas we sail in to assist your search for the cruise that matches your interests and desire for discovery and adventure.

Adriatic
Our small ships are the ideal means to explore the diversity of the Adriatic, without the crowds found on larger vessels. Unpack just once, as we visit not only the Adriatic's major coastal towns—Venice, Dubrovnik, Split and Kotor—but also take you to the less frequented islands like Hvar, Mljet, Cres and Krk. No need to figure out the local ferry schedules to visit these wonderful isles that have a beauty and relaxed pace all their own.

Antarctic
Fasten your seat belts, folks, we’ve got some rough weather ahead! As you cross the Drake Passage en-route to Antarctica, you can virtually count on rough and tumble seas for about a day. That’s all part of the adventure, isn’t it? The good news is this – there’s still time for you to experience the wonders of this incredible continent without ever seeing another ship – even when you’re enjoying a steak fry on the aft deck. Imagine that. Folks back home (at least in some areas) are freezing while you’re barbequing in Antarctica with balmy, 30 degree weather, all against the back drop of magnificent glaciers, mountains, seal-selected shores and navigation channels so photographed they’re nicknamed “Kodak Channels”.
Surely this is the year you’ll leap from your armchair onto an expedition itinerary that will rock your perception of what is majestic, of what is beautiful and of what is impossible to forget!

Baltic/Scandinavia
Our cruises in these waters feature ports that are steeped in the marvelous history of a number of different yet often related cultures. Cruising here features relatively calm waters, lots of countries close together, and ample time for splendid shore excursions. St. Petersburg is a perennial favorite of our clients and our Fred. Olsen Cruises spend about 36 hours there with the added benefit that no visas are required when going ashore with a Fred. Olsen shore excursion.

Black Sea
A circumnavigation of this historic sea is the best way to see a region that offers so much in the way of ancient and military history, architecture, diverse cultural influences, literature and contemporary politically affairs. Visit the remote areas of Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and Romania and experience the rich culture and history this region has to offer.

Canary Islands/North Africa
Imagine having a winter/spring alternative to the disgustingly similar cruise offerings out of Florida on monster liners. Our Canary Island and North Africa cruises have snob appeal without the snob. What we mean is this; you have a sense of being a very special person on a delightful itinerary yet undiscovered by the purveyors of “conveyer belt cruises” – cruises that process you rather than pleasing you. You might even see some canaries…Come take the risk!

Caribbean
Ah… The Caribbean. Now, here’s why our cruises are such a good idea. Whether you’re on our Fred. Olsen Cruises or a Polar Star expedition cruise, or a very small ship, Clipper Cruise, you’ll be cruising to ports and up rivers that the big boats don’t feature or can’t navigate. So, you avoid the hustle-bustle of Florida ports in favor of the serenity of alternative, civilized ports further south in the Caribbean.

Celtic
No one will argue that London, Manchester, Edinburgh and a host of other fine cities help define the broad appeal of the UK to the millions of tourists who flock there each year.
For true adventurers, there’s the magical, mystical, romantic coastline of inhabited and uninhabited heather covered islands. Islands that soar from the sea to host rookeries. And crumbling castles, deep fjords and windswept shores. Tales of lore. And other secrets from an ancient past.
Many traveler’s family lineage is linked — even shackled to this ancient past…and thus the extra lure for these adventurers!

Central America
We just know that at least one of our cruises to Central American ports will be exactly what you’re wanting – whether for Mayan ruins, birding, tropical forest walks, or crystal clear, “scubadivable” waters infested with little fish of every color – and a few big ones too!

Epic Voyages
So what does “epic” mean, anyway? To us the term implies infrequently scheduled, long duration cruises with experiences of such magnitude that they are virtually not duplicate-able except by the rare organization such as our own. Sounds good and puffy, don’t you think? If you have an even better definition for an epic cruise, please share it with us… then book one through us!
Join like-minded souls who have resisted the urge to vegetate their way through winter's feverishly long spell in favor of a cabin that meanders through paradise.

Far East
Do you really wish to flee to the wilderness to encounter crowds of your own species?
We submit that you may wish to leave the crowded bays behind in exchange for a decidedly peaceful sojourn along the rugged shores of the Alaska Peninsula, and the islands of the Bering Sea, in a more-than-comfortable ship. When you do visit the popular bays, however, you'll be on a deck near sea level ... not a hundred feet up strung to a railing, trying to focus your binoculars on the action far below.
Or immerse yourself in the mystery and evolving world of the Orient. Eperience the magic, mythology, and serene beauty all amidst the modern backdrop of energized cities and towns.

High Arctic Waters
The High Arctic Waters are hot destinations in which to cool your heels; the Vikings did!
Is it possible there is still a Viking Longboat lurking behind an iceberg or within the shrouding fog of a fjordic inlet? An expedition lost in time as it sought a route from Norway’s North Cape to Iceland and Greenland? You won’t need to worry about getting lost on our cruises, but you will need to keep a keen eye out for Viking ships, polar bears, and, maybe, a midnight sun…

Mediterranean/Iberia
Sailing the Mediterranean and Iberia is almost too much to handle. It’s overwhelming to be calling on island after island – islands that have yielded stories from ancient times, biblical times and modern times… stories that come alive as you ponder the imponderable, that is, you’re really there! Add to this the excitement of the city and resort ports of Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Libya and North Africa and you surely need to consider either a very long cruise or lots of trips back to take it all in!

South America
Some of our favorite ships sail along the coast of South America twice each year as they migrate between Antarctica and high Arctic waters. It’s like they need to lavish themselves in warm waters for a while before once again taking on the ice packs and frigid waters in the Polar Regions.
Because these ships don't have a lot of time to spend, their featured itineraries include imaginative ports of call often overlooked by the mass-marketed monster liners that bully each other with their throngs of tourists.
So consider one of these really cool itineraries in really warm settings...

South Pacific
Discover a stunning variety of natural beauty and cultural treasures Down Under. Experience the exquisite underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef, the secludes fjords of New Zealand.
If you feel the island names sound exotic, prepare yourself for the indelible views of sea life, flora and fauna that await your visit. A visit anchored on crystal clear waters. Under a tropical sun with cooling breezes. And stately palm trees. A visit enhanced by warm, friendly people. People who have waited six months...for your ship to come in.

Viking Routes
There are, fortunately for the adventurers amongst us, ships that weave unusual itineraries through seldom-visited locales for the pure enjoyment of those on board. It’s as though the ship owners have claimed a sovereign right to be different. To do different things. In their own timing. For their own reasons. As did the Vikings, too!
You’ll be treated to considerably more comfortable transportation as you segue to Iceland, Greenland and/or Atlantic Canada aboard one of our wonderful cruise ships. We’ve got most of the answers to your questions. The rest will be answered, we presume, as you experience the cruise in full, living color and natural surround sound…
