We are delighted to feature three distinct types of cruises for your review.  Small Ship ocean voyages (450 – 830 passengers) and 150 passenger ships in inland seas; Expedition Cruises – primarily to both ends of the earth, but some “in-between” destinations too; and River Cruises – primarily in South America.  Take a cruise through our website for all the details!

Expedition Cruise
Expedition Cruise programming is featured in two different venues for your selection. Our Polar Star expedition cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic (and back again with lots of warm stops in between) are truly informal in nature. Although you have all the “creature comforts”, you will select a Polar Star cruise because there is a “rough and ready, nothing wimpy” air to the whole experience. Comfortable sweaters and comfortable sneakers are the dress-du-jour on these cruises and when in Antarctica or the Arctic – wet-weather gear and the famous red parka keep you warm and toasty.

Our Clipper Cruise Line cruises are also very small ship experiences and are one notch higher on the formality scale. That is not to say that you’re gussied up in a suit or tuxedo or, for the ladies, some fancy dress. Quite to the contrary! Business casual is the most you’d want to consider as you segue from exciting port to exciting port. Clipper Cruise Line cruises appeal to those wanting adventure, very small ships, up-close encounters with wildlife and nature and “more creature comforts”!

Ocean Cruise
Ocean Cruises take you, of course, to the high seas, and to calmer waters too! Our cruise lines feature vessels designed for the itineraries being planned. As an example, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines purchased, re-engined and beautified two former Royal Viking Line ships that were originally designed for long, epic voyages. These are extremely stable ships with big wardrobes, wide teak decks and other amenities that make ocean travel so delightful. These ships are perfect for our Around Africa, Around the World and Around South America cruises as are all our ships in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Baltic and Norwegian fjord areas.

Another example of ships being in the right place for the right itineraries are those operated by Elegant Cruises in the Adriatic. These cruises offer an atmosphere, itinerary and venue which falls nicely between expedition cruising and full ocean cruising and our clients tend to get dressed up for dinner.

River Cruise
River Cruises are currently limited to two rivers in our product line up – the Amazon and the Orinoco Rivers in South America. These cruises are operated by our ocean going vessels (described above) and, in grand style, allow you to go up the creeks without paddling!

If you are interested in other River Cruising destinations, please send us an email and one of our well-traveled agents will be able to match you with the perfect ship and itinerary!
