Cruise the World on a Smaller Scale

All of our ships cruise, of course, otherwise, what’s the point? And all of our ships are known as small or really small ships as measured against the growing population of monster liners towering above the sites guests are meant to be able to see (can you tell we don’t believe in the “really really big” boat concept)? So, we offer many cruise itineraries with just 450 to 1350 passengers and expedition cruises for just 105 – 150 passengers.

Neat and tidy, don’t you think?

Expedition Cruises: These itineraries involve Antarctica, the west coast of South America, some unique ports in the UK and high Arctic waters including routes where the Vikings romped around Iceland and Greenland and Atlantic Canada. Our guests wear warm sweaters – not tuxedos, and have a lot of fun rather than feeling compelled to dwell in cocktail talk.

Cruises Cruises: Our Fred. Olsen cruises ply the waters of the Norwegian fjords, Iceland, Greenland, the Baltic as well as the Mediterranean and Canary Islands areas.  We also have two Caribbean hubs - Miami and Barbados from which we feature 14 night cruises November through early April. And each year, at least one epic voyage but for 2009 we have TWO exciting Around The World cruises - available elsewhere in this website. On these cruises tuxedos are worn once or twice a week (dark suit is perfectly fine too) and for the comfort of those who have a personal policy prohibiting “penguin” wear… we have alternative restaurants to flee to!!
